No matter what Mikel Arteta goes on to achieve with Arsenal F.C. in the years to come, Arsène Wenger will remain Arsenal’s greatest football manager.
For our new fans, Arsène Wenger is Arsenal. If you study how he transformed Arsenal and helped the club compete in Europe at a time when the club was hanging by a thread, you will understand better. But before Arsène, there was George Graham, the man who restored Arsenal’s identity, discipline, and winning mentality. George laid the foundation that modern Arsenal was built on, while Arsène revolutionised and elevated the club into a global football institution. Without George Graham’s structure and success, the Arsenal Wenger inherited may not have been in the position to evolve the way it did.
So in my order, it is George Graham, then Arsène Wenger, then Mikel Arteta. That is my tree of Arsenal’s greatest managers.
@KalshiSports One thing about national team sports is having the required talent, and another is having luck with the person appointed to lead the group.
David Raya not starting for Spain is down to the national team coach.
@JBFootyX Arsenal hierarchy will bolster our already dynamic team. But, which great team in the past had no weaknesses.
Every team is beatable, is just a matter who they face and luck.
@piersmorgan@Polymarket Teams with the best attack are always rated first to win. Defence comes a close second.
Great teams use attack as a form of defence, and we know PSG are very good at this.
Arsenal being the underdogs is good. On Saturday, we will lift it and make history.
The reason why Barcelona has not dominated in Europe is not their attack. It is their fragile defence.
Liverpool won the league and spent over £300 on attackers without strengthening their defence. We all know the results thereafter.
The reason Barcelona won La Liga is because Real Madrid and ATM are not good enough but I am sure with Mourinho now on board, they will struggle in La Liga if they don't strengthen their defence. The question now is, how is available for them to sign?
@FabrizioRomano There is no way Newcastle united would sell Gordon to a Premier league club for €70m+. He would cost above £80m to a Premier league club.
@livescore Bruno Fernandes should enter the race.
Logically, if Declan Rice or Gabriel or Saliba or Raya is in the race, why is either of them not the premier league player of the season.
Is funny when the season ends and the best premier league player is not in the conversation for best player of the season. Demble will be there, Darmico will be there, Yamal will be there, and all these players played in Europe and made great contributions. So pathetic but it is what it is. Declan Rice is the worthy recipient and rightly so.
