Few people have done more for D&D than Kim Mohan. With wit and kindness, he edited books for every edition and elevated all of us who were fortunate to learn from him. Today he laid down his pen. To me, he was always Sir. With grief and gratitude, I will always remember you, Sir.
If we're talking about how do we mechanize inborn abilities—that is, talk strictly about biological traits—then words like Kind or Ancestry or Heritage or Lineage or Origin all can work. People would be okay for most characters (who are born among others like them), but not all.
Snagged some PDF downloads from @DNDElise over the weekend at #Midwestgamefest. Thanks for the amazing panel at the con. I'm excited to give these Fey Treasures a try in my home game!

Lrd3rd, here. Calling all Chthooligans. What have you always wanted to see in a Lovecraftian D&D adventure? Which Old One would you willingly sacrifice yourself to for breakfast? How do you want your character to go mad and/or die?
