What happens when global changemakers gather in Nairobi? Magic-and a lot of "friend-raising!"

Hosted by Accountability Lab, The Youth Cafe, represented by our Partnerships Director Mumbiko King'ori King’ori graced the Accountability Lab Global Friendraiser. It was an evening of high-level connection, bringing faces to names and reinforcing our shared commitment to transparency and youth-led governance.

Mumbiko had the pleasure of engaging with Blair Glencorse, Executive Director of Accountability Lab, alongside their incredible teams from Liberia, Nepal, Nigeria, Mexico, and beyond.

𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬 & 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬
During the event, we shared progress on our flagship initiatives that continue to shift the needle for African youth, including:

1. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐌𝐈𝐓 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭: Enhancing digital safety and media integrity.
2. 𝐀𝐄𝐈𝐏 (𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚-𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦): Strengthening cross-continental youth collaborations.

The Youth Cafe is honored to participate alongside other passionate youth peacebuilders, learning, exchanging experiences, and strengthening regional partnerships for peace. This initiative is a timely and powerful investment in youth-led efforts to prevent conflict, foster reconciliation, and build inclusive communities across our region.

Organized under the African Union’s Youth for Peace Africa Programme, this 3-day training engages youth in interactive workshops, real-world simulations, and regional dialogue aimed at empowering us as catalysts for peace.
