@JDWhiteley01 @AlecBurnsGolf Yeah the more you think the worse you hit. When I did some lessons my instructor told me I had a great practice swing but as soon as a ball was involved I was all over the place 🤣. Thankfully a bit better now

@AlecBurnsGolf @JDWhiteley01 Ha I think I start trying to squeeze out a bit more which makes it go wrong….so I try harder to get back to normal and it goes even more wrong 🤣. Funny old game golf - stay calm, stay relaxed and the shots will come good (sometimes!)

@AlecBurnsGolf @JDWhiteley01 It certainly is! My best is 92 actually which was in a comp where a lot of things came together. Felt like I’d been threatening it for a while, but then back up to around 100 the last couple of rounds. I reckon there’s a sub 90 round coming soon though.

@AlecBurnsGolf @JDWhiteley01 Similar situation to where I am, broken 100 a few times and flirting around that mark. Consistency the main killer with a few blowouts hurting the scorecard, and losing shots around the green. Improving all the time though and can definitely see a big change to a few months ago

@silentghosted Keep up the good work! Looks like a nice solid round, couple of pars and not really any disaster holes which helps to keep the score down. Did you feel it was about right? Or you left shots out there?

I broke 100 a few months ago, and have stayed under in the rounds since expect for a couple.
94 is my best but feels like I’m leaving shots out there so sub 90 feels close like you.
Funny old game, but once it starts to click those scores start tumbling!

@silentghosted Don’t target it, focus on a relaxed swing and keeping the ball in play. Leave the scorecard to the end so there’s no pressure thinking you need a par/bogey to stay on track.
That’s what I did when I first broke 100, checked at the end and had a 96. Got a PB 94 yesterday

@silentghosted Keep going and those scores will come. I just finally broke 100 with a 96, followed it up with a 99, then back to reality with a 110. Golf is tough but we go again at the weekend.
If driver isn’t working take a fairway wood on those tighter holes, keep it in play and moving!
