NDC Northwest Zonal Vice Chairman, Bakin Zuwo, has endorsed HE Atiku Abubakar’s plans to restore the fuel subsidy and reopen Nigeria’s borders.

He said:

“As long as you are not among the oppressors, you must praise HE Atiku Abubakar. Even if the hypocrites refuse to praise you, I must praise you, Atiku.”

Bakin Zuwo said he supports Atiku’s plan to restore the fuel subsidy, arguing that President Tinubu’s removal of the subsidy has worsened economic hardship for Nigerians.

“Tinubu is killing us. He removed all subsidies, yet some people are campaigning for him to continue inflicting hardship on Nigerians.”

This is exactly what happens when a government has run out of answers:they turn every political conversation into “Uba Sani has done this” and “Uba Sani has done that,”while avoiding the very questions Kaduna people are asking.

You cannot campaign on propaganda and call it performance.If the roads,schools,healthcare,agriculture and investments are truly speaking for themselves,why are you spending so much time attacking ADC instead of presenting a convincing scorecard to the people?

And this your obsession with comparing National Assembly records is quite revealing.kaduna voters are deciding who can provide the leadership Kaduna needs now.Previous political positions should not become a lifetime certificate of competence.

The reality is simple:a government that is genuinely performing does not need to spend every day fighting its opposition.Let the people talk about what they can see,what they can afford,the security they experience,the jobs available to them and the future they believe awaits their children.

ADC is not afraid of Uba Sani’s propaganda machine.We are asking a simple question: after all the speeches,what has the ordinary Kaduna citizen truly gained?

Three years of political storytelling cannot substitute for Three years of tangible development.

You keep asking, “What are Rt. Hon. @IsaAshiruKudan achievements?” as though you expect a legislator to personally build every hospital, school, and road in the constituency.

Let us first understand something very important Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan was elected to represent his people at both the Kaduna State House of Assembly and the National Assembly. Before judging his record, perhaps it is necessary to understand the constitutional responsibilities of a legislator and representative.

The job of a representative goes far beyond standing beside a completed road and claiming credit. A good legislator is assessed by the quality of representation he provides, the laws and motions he contributes to, the bills and initiatives he sponsors, how effectively he attracts development to his constituency, and how well he uses his position to advance the interests of his people.

And by these standards, Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan has a record that speaks loudly.
From legislative interventions and constituency development initiatives to empowerment programmes, employment opportunities for young people, and support that helped women and youths become more economically independent, Isa Ashiru’s years in public service were not empty years.

His interventions also extended to community development, including initiatives aimed at improving public infrastructure and lighting in parts of his constituency. Educational institutions and communities across Kaduna and beyond can also testify to projects and interventions associated with his years of representation.

So, those asking for his achievements should stop pretending that the only measure of a legislator's performance is whether he personally constructed a hospital or tarred a highway.
Leadership has different responsibilities. A governor governs and executes state projects. A legislator makes laws, provides oversight, represents the people, attracts development, sponsors initiatives, and fights for the interests of his constituency.

Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan has served at different levels of public service, and his record is there for anyone genuinely interested in the truth to examine.

You may disagree politically, but you cannot rewrite history.
The records are there. The people are there. The beneficiaries are there. And Kaduna knows the difference between propaganda and a proven record of service.

The ongoing confrontation over the state of tertiary education in Kaduna State has laid bare a striking contradiction in the priorities of Governor Senator Uba Sani’s administration. While government spokespersons scramble to point to budgetary percentages on paper to parry criticism from opposition leaders like Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan, the reality at Kaduna State University (KASU) tells a story of systemic neglect rather than a simple scarcity of funds.

The administration has repeatedly resorted to evasions when addressing the university’s deepening crisis. A defining moment in this breakdown was the strike threat and 14-day ultimatum issued by ASUU-KASU over the failure to domesticate and implement the 2025 Federal Government ASUU Agreement. Despite the union giving the state government nearly three years to systematically clear accumulated entitlements, as well as a direct two-week warning, the administration dragged its feet until industrial action was imminent. Two weeks is more than enough time for any administration that genuinely prioritizes education to act, yet state resources and administrative focus were directed towards hosting political gatherings and praise singers in luxury state halls.

What makes this posture indefensible is the government’s narrative of inherited debt. Governor Uba Sani continuously blames former Governor Nasir El-Rufai for leaving behind over ₦800 million in accumulated staff entitlements and allowances dating back to 2016. While the state government scramblingly announced a piecemeal release of ₦300 million only after being backed into a corner by strike threats, the claim of fiscal hardship crumbles when examining discretionary spending. Billions of naira were seamlessly allocated to construct a grand Banquet Hall at Government House, proving that Kaduna’s education sector suffers not from a lack of revenue, but from a total misplacement of priorities.

Under Governor Uba Sani, this pattern of neglect extends across multiple vital sectors. State resident doctors are currently preparing for industrial action over unpaid entitlements, aggravated by acute shortages of essential medical equipment, basic supplies, and diagnostic tools in public health facilities.

Central to these systemic failures is a style of governance characterized by absenteeism. By spending a significant portion of his time in Abuja or travelling with the President’s entourage across states and nations, Governor Uba Sani remains detached from state affairs. Deploying administrative energy to external political campaigns, such as the Osun State elections, while Kaduna State suffers from an absence of deliberate leadership highlights this disconnect.

In sharp contrast, Rt. Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru’s record during his eight years in the House of Representatives and his tenure as Chairman of the Appropriation Committee demonstrates a proven commitment to infrastructure. Ashiru directly facilitated Senate Buildings across Northern federal universities and attracted institutions such as the Police Secondary School to his constituency. These projects were subsequently neglected by succeeding state leadership.

If Governor Uba Sani intends to restore public trust, he must abandon superficial optics, continued blame of the El-Rufai administration, of which he was a key figure, as well as bogus statistics and PR committees. Education and healthcare cannot survive on paper percentages or multi-billion-naira ceremonial halls. The administration must honour its commitments to academic and health workers, address structural decay, and deliver present, accountable governance to the people of Kaduna State.

Let’s stop playing politics with semantics. If the administration’s achievements are as overwhelming as claimed, publish the figures and let Kaduna people judge.

Roads? Show the completed roads and their actual costs.
Schools? Show the number rehabilitated and the learning outcomes.
Healthcare? Show the facilities, equipment and measurable improvements.
Agriculture? Show the beneficiaries and what changed in their productivity.
Investment? Show the jobs created and the actual investments attracted.

A list of projects is not the same thing as evidence of performance.

And please, enough with the National Assembly comparison. Nobody elected a governor to spend four years reminding us what he did as a senator. Kaduna people are interested in what he promised as governor, what he has delivered, and what remains undone.

As a Kaduna State citizens and also an ADC members, we have every right to scrutinize the government. Opposition is not hatred, it is accountability.

If the record is solid, defend it with facts not name calling, "propaganda" labels on political opponents.

Let the people not political praise singers be the final judges of performance.

Kaduna ADC and their supporters have nothing to campaign with beyond attacking Governor Uba Sani. No compelling record, no concrete promises, just recycled propaganda that “Uba Sani has done nothing”. Yet Kaduna’s roads, schools, healthcare, agriculture and investments tell a different story.

Their so called “Mai Solar” cannot showcase one solar-powered light, but wants to discredit progress. Kaduna deserves performance it’s experiencing under the present administration, not their propaganda.

Even if we compare their records in the National Assembly, their candidate still does not come close. Senator Uba Sani achieved far more in 4years in the National Assembly and their supposedly “experienced” leader did 16years with nothing to show. 😂😂 APC supporters are suddenly crying because the ADC is giving them more heat than they can handle. When you cannot defend the reality on ground, the easiest thing is to shout “propaganda!”
But since you want to compare records, let's compare them properly.

Calling Rt. Hon. @IsaAshiruKudan a man with “nothing to show” is either ignorance or deliberate political dishonesty. This is a man who represented his people for years and became popularly known as Mai Solar because of the electrification interventions associated with his representation. You cannot rewrite history simply because the name is now politically inconvenient.

Isa Ashiru's years of public service and representation came with development interventions that touched communities and institutions, including educational infrastructure and projects associated with major universities like ABU, UDUS, BUK, and Kaduna state university, The records are there, and the people who benefited are still there.

Nobody said Uba Sani did absolute nothing in the Senate. But please stop trying to use a few edited videos and propaganda clips to convince Kaduna people that four years of representation automatically makes him greater than someone with decades of grassroots public service and a long record of constituency engagement.

And more importantly, this election is not about who had the best video from the National Assembly. It is about Kaduna today.
If everything is truly working as APC supporters claim, why are they so uncomfortable whenever citizens ask questions about education, healthcare, security, infrastructure and the general condition of the people?

Criticism is not hatred. Accountability is not propaganda.
The ADC is not attacking Uba Sani because we have nothing to campaign with. We are presenting Kaduna people with an alternative a leadership they believe can do better.

So instead of crying about opposition supporters, defend your government with the reality on ground.
Bring the projects. Bring the results. Bring the evidence. Kaduna people will judge.

My brother nobody is unsettled and nobody is saying the programme itself is not developmental.If anything,a good skills-development programme that genuinely empowers Kaduna youths deserves to be supported and expanded.

But let us not confuse two different issues.

Supporting a government programme does not mean suspending our right to ask questions about it.And asking for evidence is not the same as saying government is doing nothing.

You said Kaduna has 23 LGAs and about 9.1 million people.Exactly!That is even more reason for proper documentation and transparency.If the government says 4,050 people benefited,then Kaduna citizens should be able to see how those beneficiaries were distributed across the 23 LGAs and verify the programme’s impact.

And yes,you have presented one beneficiary.Good,Now the question was about the claimed figure of 4,050 and the reported ₦810 million allocation.

One beneficiary proves that one beneficiary exists. It does not,by itself,establish that all 4,050 beneficiaries received the stated amount.

So,my brother,let us not turn a straightforward request for accountability into an opposition-versus-government argument.

If the programme is as successful as you say,document it,publish the beneficiaries,show the distribution and let the facts silence the critics.

Personally,I will support anything that genuinely puts skills,money and opportunities into the hands of Kaduna youths regardless of who is in government.

Our loyalty should ultimately be to Kaduna not to political parties.
