@darrenrovell Pokemon - biggest IP in the world. Has games, coloring books, tv shows, cards, comics, etc. Appeals to all genders. Pikachu will never beat his wife or get a DUI. So many unique collabs that bring in more fans (e.g. Mario). That’s why.
@darrenrovell Baseball - limited in audience. Only played in some parts of the world. Players do things like beat their wives, or get DUIs. Value drops. Cards not as cool since they’re mainly just poses, so not as cool to display.
@0pProblem@CodyFleenor5@zOverPowered@ReedyReal1@chrollosoll Finally, STOP RELYING ON GOOGLE AI SUMMARIES OF THINGS YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND! It’s a tool to help you, but it doesn’t replace using your brain. If you want to comment on legal matters like this, go to school and earn that knowledge. Stop being lazy!
@0pProblem@CodyFleenor5@zOverPowered@ReedyReal1@chrollosoll That will cost taxes payers a lot of money. Each time it’s hundreds of thousands on defense costs, and maybe double those costs if it settles. If it goes to trial, maybe a whole lot more. I’m a lawyer and have seen this so often it’s ridiculous.
@0pProblem@CodyFleenor5@zOverPowered@ReedyReal1@chrollosoll A policy can say whatever it wants, but a lawyer will find her and represent her based on this video. It goes to CIVIL court. They sue and will more than likely win with video evidence regardless of whatever word the violation of human rights is disguised with.
@0pProblem@CodyFleenor5@zOverPowered@ReedyReal1@chrollosoll A key component of a “compliance strike” is reasonableness. Police departments and the state get sued so often over them that they’re basically a pointless policy. If the police had a policy that said they poke your eyes out, would that be legal? No. It’s a dumb policy.
@grok@Greg41640344@chrollosoll It doesn’t matter if criminal charges are filed against the officer. A lawyer will find her and file a civil suit against the department, the state, etc. Nornally she has a two year statute of limitations to file. They will likely settle and it will cost taxpayers a lot of money.
@King5897E64209@Fellowmeman11@chrollosoll I’m gonna be real with you man. I’m a lawyer. This is unreasonable use of force (to the back of the head) on a person already restrained. This is something that the state would want to settle, especially with video evidence. You don’t know what tf you’re talking about.
@0pProblem@CodyFleenor5@zOverPowered@ReedyReal1@chrollosoll There is no such thing. This is how the government ends up paying millions in lawsuits. Because people like you end up as police and you don’t know what is and isn’t allowed and you can’t control your temper…
@AllenK473683@jps275@NEWSMAX You both do realize that the Republicans voted unanimously to fund TSA without the added ICE funding Trump kept trying to lump together with it right? Trump didn’t get what he wanted at all…
@ColossusofNY@Erik75071631@TheTalent96@chris_n_abyss@em_Lazzy Why are you even arguing how it was delivered? HOW DOES THAT CHANGE THE FACT THAT IT WAS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT? What effect did that have on anything if you’re blaming him for how the money was used?
@Tutubeast@TTerry86469@JakeCan72 Do you know how a protest works? School kids have been protesting the government for centuries. You think the school saying “Hey kids, you can’t do that” is going to stop them? Read a history book sometime. The educated have always organized protests.
@JakeCan72@MrPyKL3@ToniLL22 Funny considering Republicans have been slashing public education funding for decades and THIS is why you’re mad? One day or even a week of protesting? What are they supposed to do? Lock the kids in the classroom like there’s an active shooter? Fckn SNOWFLAKES! 😂
