A week after Charlie Kirk was murdered, I posted saying I'd never mention Candace Owens again, given how she thrives on attention. I believed that ignoring her was the best course of action. Perhaps she would slowly wither into irrelevance.

I no longer believe this.

At the time, I already thought what she was doing to Charlie, Erika, TPUSA, and others was reprehensible. Since then, however, she has descended to a level of evil and absurdity I could not have imagined. The effort it took to refrain from commenting on her behavior was immense. Still, I believed that depriving her of attention was probably the wiser option.

In recent weeks, though, the right has finally mounted an immune response. Not just to Candace, but to others in her orbit like Nick Fuentes and Tucker Carlson. Ben Shapiro, Vivek Ramaswamy, Seth Dillon, Allie Beth Stuckey, and others have spoken with sharp moral clarity against Owens and her ilk. Now Dan Bongino has joined them.

Ignoring Candace may have made sense in the first weeks of her opportunistic and conspiratorial tirade surrounding Charlie Kirk’s murder. But circumstances have changed. She didn't fade away, and I now believe that contributing to this immune response—to purge Candace and other bad actors—is the better course of action.

Something else has also contributed to my shift in tactics.

On December 31, I attended a New Year’s gathering in my neighborhood and found myself in a conversation with a woman in her late 50s. She seemed normal at first. Then the conversation somehow took a turn. She suddenly began ranting about “evil Zionists” controlling the government and blamed Jews for nearly every major evil in the world.

She then brought up Charlie Kirk and stated—without hesitation or qualification—that Erika Kirk had approved and orchestrated her husband’s assassination, along with others at TPUSA. This was presented as established fact. Although she never mentioned Candace Owens by name, it was obvious where this idea came from.

Candace insists she is “just asking questions” and has not explicitly claimed that Erika ordered her husband’s murder. But her audience has no trouble reading between the lines. The insinuations are as blatant as can be.

The woman I spoke with had her mind completely hijacked by evil and malicious lies Candace has spread, and I encountered those lies in the real world, in my own neighborhood.

I can no longer ignore this and hope it will fade away. With prominent figures on the right finally speaking out, I believe it is necessary to rejoin this chorus of opposition. The immune response must be strong enough to completely drive out the sickness.
