@Adam35047963@Tony_Denaro@stani251 I get the emotions, but toxic messages divide us. A strong group handles different opinions and cost bases without personal attacks. Let’s focus on strategy instead of gatekeeping. Open talk is the only way we stay sharp and make smart moves.
The Hollow Men
American capitalism is rotting from the head down. We have replaced the "Owner-Operator"—the risk-taker-with a new, parasitic class of corporate bureaucrat: The Risk-Free Insider.
By "Insider," I am not referring to a specific title. I am referring to the entire administrative state that has captured the modern corporation. This includes the Directors who exist solely to collect fees, the Executives who exist solely to collect bonuses, and the Managers who exist solely to hire consultants.
These are the hollow men of the boardroom. They are masters of PowerPoint. They wear the right suits. They say the right buzzwords about "governance" and "ESG." But they are mercenaries fighting a war with someone else’s ammunition.
In a functioning economy, authority is tied to liability. If you make a bad decision, you lose your own money. That fear of loss is the only thing that keeps a business honest. It forces you to cut waste, obsess over the customer, and stay late to fix what is broken.
Today, we have severed that link.
We have rigged the game so that heads, the Insider wins; tails, the shareholder loses.
If the stock goes up, the Insider collects a massive performance bonus. If the stock crashes due to their own incompetence, they are fired with a "Golden Parachute" worth tens of millions. They are gambling with the house’s money, and they never leave the table poorer than they arrived.
This looting starts in the boardroom.
We have normalized a "Country Club" culture where directors are selected based on social profiling rather than their ability to build a business. The modern board member is often a professional tourist—paid an average of $350,000 a year.
Let’s be brutally honest about what that number represents. The average director is paid nearly five times the GDP per capita of the United States. They earn more for attending four quarterly lunches than the vast majority of Americans earn in five years of hard labor.
And for what?
Most of these directors are "over-boarded," sitting on three or four boards simultaneously. They treat directorships as a gig economy for the elite. They fly in, rubber-stamp a compensation package they didn't read, and fly out. They collect checks from companies they do not understand, do not use, and certainly do not love.
They are not there to ask hard questions. They are there to be collegial. They are there to protect the other Insiders.
And what happens when these boards hire executives who also have no personal capital at risk?
We get the Delegation Economy.
When a Risk-Free Insider faces a crisis—bloated expenses, a broken supply chain, or a stale product—they do not roll up their sleeves. They hire a consultant. They pay a strategy firm millions of shareholder dollars to produce a 100-page deck telling them what they already know.
This is not management. It is intellectual money laundering.
They use shareholder capital to buy an insurance policy for their own careers. If the plan fails, they can blame the consultants. They delegate the work because they are terrified of the responsibility. They would rather preside over a slow, comfortable decline than risk a bold mistake.
While American Insiders are busy optimizing their severance packages, our global competitors are optimizing their products. They are not slowed down by bureaucracy. They are not waiting for a slide deck. They are outworking us.
If we continue to fill our C-suites with administrators instead of operators, we will lose our edge. We will see iconic American franchises hollowed out by fees, managed for the benefit of the Insiders, while the true owners—the shareholders—are left holding the bag.
The time for polite governance is over.
If we want to save the American economy from mediocrity, we must demand a return to the "Owner’s Mentality." We need leaders who treat shareholder capital with the same reverence they treat their own savings. The era of the Risk-Free Insider must end.

The biggest movie of 2025.
More than 4.5 million guests visited AMC Theatres® or ODEON Cinemas® this past week, from Monday through Sunday. More than 3.3 million in the United States and more than 1 .2 million internationally.
Approximately, two thirds were there to view WICKED: FOR GOOD!
AMC reported 3rd Quarter 2025 earnings Wednesday afternoon after the market close. We roared through consensus analyst estimates. We did $1.300 billion in revenue, the Street expected only $1.235. We did $122 million in EBITDA, the Street expected only $96 million.
We reminded all that our complex 3rd quarter refinancing, announced in July, was a major accomplishment and crucial advancement for the company.
Further, we found some real gems in the quarter. Our U.S. market share up to a record level. Contribution per patron up to a record level. Revenue per patron around record levels. Free cash flow improved. And because we have gotten so efficient, our EBITDA was higher in q3 2025 than it was in q3 2019, despite having 31% fewer guests.

Gold prices are soaring. AMC’s Hycroft shares and warrants are again worth more than what we paid for them. Our shareholders enjoyed that investment, but the “smart money” on Wall Street laughed at us. With gold prices now above $4275 an ounce, who is laughing now? Ha, ha, ha.
And this is real news. Announced today. HYCROFT PAYS OFF ALL OF ITS DEBT.
Hycroft’s share price has more than quadrupled so far in 2025.
It raised cash by diluting shareholders, but as a result was able to pay off all its debt.
How many times have I said it, “Cash is king!
This is real news. Announced yesterday. AMC AND NETFLIX
“Netflix, the world’s largest streaming service, and AMC Entertainment, the world’s largest theatre chain, have jointly decided to work together.
This new cooperation will start this Halloween weekend. AMC will show Netflix's most-popular movie in its history, KPop Demon Hunters. It will play on approximately 400 AMC screens across its theatres in the U.S. and Europe.
While the two companies have not had a commercial relationship in recent years, both Netflix and AMC are intrigued by the mutually beneficial opportunities that could arise from this and future collaboration.
Discussions are underway as to what that may entail, but no further details are being shared at this time.”
We announced today that AMC Entertainment successfully extinguished an additional $40 million of debt, and that it cost us essentially nothing incrementally to do so.
There was a clause in our July 2025 refinancing that contemplated this possibility, if certain things happened in August and September. They did happen as we hoped they would, and so this extra $40 million of debt went away.
It is only about 1% of our long term debt, but every bit helps. A small step forward is still a step forward.
Want to know when and where this is playing? Almost all the time! This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, one weekend only. At every AMC movie theatre. Great seats still widely available. Don’t miss it!
How exciting.
This Week.
One Weekend Only, October 3, 4, 5.
Taylor.
Dress up, sing and dance in the aisles.
At every AMC movie theatre in the U.S., on their big screens with their state-of-the-art sound systems.
THE OFFICIAL RELEASE PARTY OF A SHOWGIRL.
Don’t miss it.
It’s a big world. We announced this morning that AMC Theatres Distribution will be taking our highly anticipated Taylor Swift event all across the United States and to some 50 countries globally on October 3, 4 and 5.
TAYLOR SWIFT | THE OFFICIAL RELEASE PARTY OF A SHOWGIRL should play in about 110 countries by the end of October.
Here is a really tall video billboard in New York’s Times Square proclaiming AMC’s fabulous new pricing deal. At AMC, it’s 50% Off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for regular movie tickets for AMC Stubs members (it’s free to instantly join). Terms/conditions apply, see our web site.
And this is where we go from here, with our future shining brightly.
Our AMC Go Plan is working exactly as designed. Even before the industry box office roared back to life in the second quarter, we recognized that state-of-the-art laser projection, more comfortable seating, expanded food and beverage offerings, and a growing focus on premium large format and extra-large format experiences make visits to our theatres even better.
Our premium auditoriums are operating at close to three times the occupancy of a regular auditorium and command a healthy price premium to boot. Clearly, moviegoing guests prefer to see their favorite films in the most immersive, most spectacular formats possible.
AMC Entertainment is the worldwide leader in offering the most IMAX and Dolby Cinema screens, and we're continuing to roll out more IMAX, Dolby Cinema, Prime, iSense, XL and Laser equipped screens.
The combination of a resurgent box office, our unparalleled theatre footprint with premium experiences galore, our compelling marketing programs and our increasing financial strength have a flywheel impact when they all are happening simultaneously.
So at AMC, we look to the future with optimism and confidence and believe that AMC is well positioned to deliver long-term shareholder value.
