This is a small unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) that I built, and its size is no bigger than the palm of a hand

However, it can carry out surveillance ⚠️🚷
It has a small camera that can enter every corner and narrow passage to capture videos and photos without anyone knowing it has arrived.

After it captures photos or videos, those controlling it will be able to see them live

It will be very helpful in detecting forest bandits easily, especially for the military

The premeditated murder of 37 hungry children in Niger state inder the supervision of NSCDC staff is yet another sad commentary of recurring tragedy in Niger state.

In April 2026, 61 bodies of civilians and security personnel were reportedly recovered following attacks on Bagna and Erena communities in Shiroro LG

On 21 August, 2026, gunmen attacked communities and a mosque in Borgu LGA, killing over 30 people and abducting 500 worshippers that are still in captivity.

On January 3rd 2026, 30 innocent villagers at Kasuwan Daji/Demo village, Kabe District
Borgu were murdered.

On 14th February, 2026, 56 people were reported to have lost their lives at
Tunga-Makeri, Konkoso and Pissa
Borgu local government.

On 9th April, 2026, 20 people lost their lives in Bagna and Yelwa
Shiroro local government.

On 29 June, 2026, 21, people were killed at Mararraban Gwadaro, Tashan Bako and Angwan-Baago

On 12th August , 2026 12 people were killed at Wawa–Lumma Road
Borgu local government.

Indeed between January 2024 to December 2025, 1058 people were killed in Niger state according to the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA), using ACLED data, Niger State recorded:

The incidences of death in Niger state are too numerous to be counted. There are incidences almost every week of the month and every month of the year.

Yet the Niger state Governor is busy politicking, dancing Buga, pushing for his re-election, marketing APC head to toe, kowtowing before Tinubu at every opportunity to show loyalty on the face of his failures and lacking in Capacity.

Let the Governor remember that there is a day ahead and waiting for him when he will:

A. Account for every soul killed or murdered while he held sway as Niger state Governor

A. Every Naira he received, managed or mismanaged on behalf of the pauparised people of Niger state.

Meanwhile let the politicking and Buga dance continue.

A young Nigerian built AI smart glasses that let blind people walk without a cane or a guide.

His name is Khalifa Aminu, and what he made is not the smart glasses you've been seeing online.

So how does it work?
The glasses have sensors, GPS and AI inside them. When the person is walking, the sensors pick up anything in front of them. A wall, a pole, a car parked on the road, somebody standing there. The glasses alert them before they hit it, so they can walk around it themselves.

No stick. Nobody holding their hand.

The GPS tells them where they are at every point. But the part that got me is what happens when the person gets lost.

The glasses track their exact location and send it straight to the phone of whoever is taking care of them. WhatsApp or email. So their mother or brother or friend can find them in minutes instead of searching for hours.

If you've ever watched a blind person try to cross a road in Lagos you know that fear is real. This takes it away.

And he's not even done.
He's now adding voice to it, so the glasses can actually talk to the user and describe what's around them. Staircase ahead. Busy road coming. Someone on your left.

That's when it stops being a gadget and becomes a guide that never leaves your side.
He built this himself. No big lab, no foreign funding. Just one young guy who saw a problem and refused to ignore it.

But this is not like the smart glasses people are used to seeing

Because this Glass combines AI, sensors, and GPS to help the user detect things in front of them, avoid obstacles, and know their location

But the most amazing thing is if the user gets lost, the GPS tracking system can help locate where they are from anywhere, and then send the location to the phone of the person taking care of them via WhatsApp or Email 📲

And now I am further developing it to a new level of AI + Voice, so it can speak with the user and also help them understand their surroundings
