TORNADO WATCH ISSUED FOR KANAWHA COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREAS
The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Kanawha County and much of West Virginia until 11:00 AM EDT this morning.

Emergency crews are currently on scene of a tractor-trailer fire near the 107 mile marker on I-77 North. One lane is closed at this time. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the area.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory that will be in effect from 11:00 am this morning until 7:00 pm this evening. Heat indexes up to 100 degrees, hot temperatures, and high humidity may cause heat-related illnesses.
The National Weather Service has issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for Kanawha County until 2:30pm. Wind gusts upto 40 mph and quarter size hail are possible. Be prepared and stay safe.
📣 The bridge on Woodward Drive at Mullins Lane is currently closed for an unspecified duration. Please plan to use alternate routes and allow additional time for your journey. Exercise caution while traveling on these detours.
