BREAKING: LOCK HIM UP! Republican Rep. Thomas Massie bluntly accuses Pete Hegseth of "breaking the law" and demands that he be held accountable!
The moment that this presidency is over, a lot of people are going to prison...
"Let me explain this absurd ruse: The Pentagon is pretending there have been two Iran wars separated by a brief cease-fire," Massie wrote on X. "The reality: By going more than 90 days without congressional authorization @SecWar IS BREAKING THE LAW and must be held accountable."
The congressman — who has consistently been an outspoken critic of Trump's illegal, pointless, disastrous war — was responding to a post about the jaw-dropping fact that the Pentagon has removed the names of the 4 service members who recently died in Jordan from the official list of Iran War casualties.
The administration is claiming that since "their deaths occurred after President Trump declared a cease-fire in the war in April" they didn't technically die in the conflict. In addition to being tantamount to spitting on these soldiers' graves and discarding their sacrifice, this is a blatant effort to manipulate the stats.
The fundamental logic is nonsensical. Trump has claimed on numerous occasions that the war is about to end, that it's over, that Iran is begging for a deal. His "ceasefires" are meaningless because they’re designed solely to manipulate the stock market and he inevitably returns to bombing every time. This hasn't been a series of smaller wars, it's one, long unbroken war and the White House does not have legal authority to wage it because Congress has not signed off on it.
Trump has grown obsessed with the casualty data in recent days and even took to Truth Social to compare the deaths in previous wars like Afghanistan and Vietnam to Iran. He conveniently ignored the fact that those wars are over and so the figures are carved in stone while the Iran War is ongoing and the number of deaths will continue to rise.
As it stands right now, every senior official involved in perpetuating this war is breaking the law. While Trump will almost certainly sign blanket pardons for his cronies on his way out of the Oval Office, a smart, creative, Democratically-controlled Justice Department could find a way to circumvent them and bring hard-hitting prosecutions.
We must do it. No one is above the law.
Please ❤️ and share if you think that Pete Hegseth belongs in prison!
Retired 4-Star Navy Admiral and former Navy SEAL William McRaven on Donald Trump: "Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation."
RETWEET if you stand with Admiral McRaven!

Ossoff demolishes Hegseth -- then Hegseth has an epic crashout
Sen. Jon Ossoff used Hegseth's premature declarations of victory against him during his Senate testimony, repeatedly reading back statements Hegseth made in March and April about Iran's military being "destroyed" and "obliterated" and asking him if he stands by them.
After Hegseth spent five minutes dodging, Ossoff concluded by noting that "you will not answer whether your statement made on the 14th day of the war that Iran's military was 'destroyed and made combat ineffective' was a truthful statement to the American people as you sit here and ask for tens of billions more."
A reeling Hegseth then crashed out in response to a similar line of questioning from Sen. Gary Peters, snapping at him that "you have Trump derangement syndrome!"
Peters replied to Hegseth that "you, sir, are the failure," as Susan Collins brought the hearing to an abrupt close.
Here's all of Ossoff's questioning followed by Hegseth's tantrum:
Ben Meiselas on Donald Trump announcing new tariffs on Canada: "The justification is that Canada responded to the US tariffs by imposing retaliatory measures, both formally and also, the Canadian people, elbows up, said, 'We're not going to buy your liquor. If you're going to threaten our sovereignty, we don't want to buy your shit.'"
It's clear that the ban on American booze is working. U.S. booze stays off the shelves, until Canadians get a fair deal.

At this point, I don’t believe a single Canadian media organisation should give one millisecond of airtime to U.S. Ambassador Hoekstra. Do not give him a sliver of a platform. Let him sit in his office in silence.
