@instanterudite They never offer an explanation as to why a Lib staffer, Higgins, would go through years of coverups, trauma & courts, & lose her perfect career just to make a false accusation of rape against another low-level nobody Lib staffer, Lehrmann. It makes no sense!
Newscorp stinks!
Wild that News Corp contributors have named just about everyone else as the "real victims" of the "Lehrmann-Higgins saga" other than an idealistic young woman whose life was upended and dreams destroyed after she was raped by a colleague.
@cwebbonline I don't have words to adequately describe my feelings about this. I'm devastated for this woman. I know several women who have had similar issues with their pregnancies. They were wanted and planned. Politicians have NO right to decide medical care.
I haven’t watched yet - but from seeing just a few #insiders tweets - the idea of creating either a streaming video or audio #auspol show at 9am on Sunday mornings in 2024 - is building for me. You?
@JulianAndrew63@profdmcinnes Personally, if you work for Murdoch you should not be shown any respect whatsoever. You are not a journalist, you are a propagandist.
2. Speers interrupts ×4, talks over her: "Yeah, I don't know if it's glass jaws in the press gallery, its about how it looks to the people.."
Speers showing he can't abide defence of Labor, or criticism of members of Press. His narrow world view (& glass jaw) on full display.
1/2: #Insiders panel sings praises of Olivia Caisley & lambasts AG Mark Dreyfus. Niki Savva then says it was a "borderline gotcha question, say sorry or else..." and later "Sometimes I think there are more glass jaws in the press gallery than there are in the parliament.." /2
Far too soon, I bring you news of another woman killed. A 31-year-old was stabbed to death last night in Kallangur, Qld. A man, believed to be her partner, has been taken into custody. She is the 71st Australian woman killed this year.
Bruce Lehrmann’s defence has been unsuccessful in their attempt to persuade the Judge to dismiss key evidence by a lipreader who analysed CCTV footage from The Dock hotel where Higgins & Lehrmann drank b4 going to parliament.
Justice Michael Lee has ruled to allow the evidence.
A senior US weapons expert is telling us that Labor’s proposed AUKUS legislation cedes Australian sovereignty over military technology. This is a dangerous path, which is also criticised by our own leading science bodies. https://t.co/h80jdyom8T
