This set a terrifying precedent for parents everywhere. A Canadian father, Robert Hoogland, was thrown in prison for trying to prevent his 14-year-old daughter from undergoing permanent medical transition. After schools socially transitioned her behind his back and courts authorized testosterone injections against his wishes, the state stripped him of his parental rights. When he refused to remain silent about the medical risks and the loss of his child, the government moved to silence him by force. https://t.co/3kK4Jotk6n

Hoogland was sent to prison for "contempt of court" because he defied a gag order that forbade him from referring to his child as his "daughter" or using female pronouns. By treating his desperate plea to protect his child as a criminal act, the court signalled that the state, not the parent, owned the child.

This is nothing less than the criminalization of parenthood in the face of state-sponsored gender ideology.

Women and girls have the right to play competitive sports in a safe and fair environment against other biological females.

This view is held by a vast majority of Albertans and Canadians. It is also common sense and common decency.

Skate Canada‘s refusal to hold events in Alberta because we choose to protect women and girls in sport is disgraceful.

We expect they will apologize and adjust their policies once they realize they are not only compromising the fairness and safety of their athletes, but are also offside with the international community, including the International Olympic Committee, which is moving in the same direction as Alberta.

Sitting in Cash Waiting for a Correction That Never Comes?

Since 2019, the cost of living has surged driven by fiscal and monetary policy. U.S. prices: up 27% (a dollar now buys what $0.79 did in 2019). Canada: up 19%. Meanwhile: Canadian equities: up 100%, U.S. equities: up 150%

Holding cash feels safe but it’s a melting ice cube. Inflation creates time decay on money. Every year you sit on cash, your purchasing power erodes while assets compound.

Lesson: Waiting for the “perfect entry” often costs more than market volatility. Stay invested but do it smartly. Use insurance or downside protection strategies (like hedging or structured notes) to manage risk. You never know when a correction may strike, but we do know government spending is driving debasement like we haven’t seen in decades.

It snowed last night...
8:00 am: I made a snowman.

8:10 - A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn't make a snow woman.

8:15 - So, I made a snow woman.

8:17 - My feminist neighbor complained about the snow woman's voluptuous chest saying it objectified snow women everywhere.

8:20 - The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it could have been two snow men instead.

8:22 - The transgender man..women...person asked why I didn't just make one snow person with detachable parts.

8:25 - The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with.

8:28 - I was being called a racist because the snow couple is white.

8:31 - The middle eastern gent across the road demanded the snow woman be covered up .

8:40 - The Police arrived saying someone had been offended.

8:42 - The feminist neighbor complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needed to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role.

8:43 - The council equality officer arrived and threatened me with eviction.

8:45 - TV news crew showed up. I was asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow-women? I replied "Snowballs" and am now called a sexist.

9:00 - I was on the News as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobe sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather.

9:29 - Far left protesters offended by everything marched down the street demanding for me to be arrested.

By noon it all melted

Moral:
There is no moral to this story. It is what this world has become, all because of snowflakes.

The only metric you need to understand Bitcoin’s adoption is the hash rate. Hash is the physical world committing real energy, capital, and infrastructure to secure the network. It reflects miners deploying hardware, signing long-term power contracts, building facilities, and operating in competitive markets. Unlike narratives, sentiment, or price, hash rate cannot be faked. It is the clearest signal that Bitcoin is being adopted at the infrastructure level, not just traded on screens.

Price, for now, is subdued by financialization… derivatives, leverage, ETFs, and paper claims dampen and delay price discovery. But hash rate continues to climb, steadily and relentlessly. At some point, price must reconcile with the underlying physical reality securing the network. Hash is how the digital world anchors itself to the physical one, converting energy into security and truth. That’s why hash rate is the only metric that truly matters.
