A lot of people asking me how I feel about the Elections tomorrow, so here it goes:

From the very start when @gabrielsherman Amy Baer and I worked on #TheApprentice the premise of the movie was to be non-partial and non-partisan. We wanted to study the American power structure with sober eyes, from distance. But it is also a humanist project. We wanted to depict young Donald Trump and Roy Cohn as human beings with all their pains and pleasures, ups and downs. Like any other human being. So we did and I think the movie is an important contribution to this extremely polarised debate around these characters.

We stayed on course and took shit from @realDonaldTrump and his allies and his billionaire friends who try to force us to whitewash his image and when failed tried to sink the movie and stopping it from being distributed. We took shit from our liberal friends who thought we should have been “tough “ on him and we have let him off the hook. We took shit from corporate Hollywood who is sucking up to Trump and MAGA as they pretend they stand for liberal values. We did what we needed to do to keep the movie and our artistic and intellectual investigation away from politics and political influences to left or right.

But I am facing a different reality now which has little to so with our movie. Tomorrow Americans might potentially choose @realDonaldTrump to become their president. Even if that is the case I want there to be no doubt what I think of him: @realDonaldTrump is a committed Fascist with capital F who is enabling the absolute worst elements in the American society: white supremacists, conspiracy theorists, charlatans and sociopaths.

As someone who studied his businesses closely I can tell you his track record as manager is absolutely abysmal. I would not trust this man with running a corner shop let alone the biggest economy in the world. But he also have other unique qualities:
He is a Convicted Rapist.

Donald and his Fascist allies are ruthlessly exploiting the vulnerabilities of American democratic process and the broken trust between people and their institutions to manipulate the masses and twist just about any important fact and to turn the public debate into a giant stream of muddy water where any conversation about truth feels futile and meaningless.

@realDonaldTrump has bullied his way to building his buildings, get undeserved tax breaks, get huge bank loans to cover his losses. He has bullied his way into politics . He has bullied his way into the White House and he has bullied his way into silencing his critics and sexual assault victims . He even tried to bully his way into grabbing votes. And he will most certainly do that again if he does not like the results.

I don’t care if he is the most powerful person on earth by next week. I am standing by every single word here and am happy to face the consequences.

We are going to be judged by history. Do not let this man bully you into submission.
