They are people’s children, people’s parents, people’s spouses. They’ve spent 20 days in captivity. We cannot normalize silence! This too heartbreaking!💔
Outside of football shenanigans from the weekend, we have a country to save.
Apparently, all of our joint public advocacy - are pushing needles in the right direction.
The terrorists holding the teachers & children have released another video.
Three weeks ago, my 23-year-old neighbor was kidnapped on her way to Kontagora in Niger State.
While in captivity, the bandits repeatedly raped her taking turns sleeping with her night after night. Still, they kept bargaining with her father over the phone, demanding ransom even as they violated her.
Her father fought with everything he had. He hustled day and night, borrowed from everyone, took loans, sold whatever he could determined to bring his daughter home.
When he finally gathered the full amount, he called the bandits and begged them, ‘Please, give the phone to my daughter. Let me speak to her. I want her to know I’m coming for her.’
They gave her the phone.
In a broken, traumatized voice, she told her father: ‘Dad, do not suffer yourself looking for the money. They have been sleeping with me. I’m traumatized. I can’t forgive myself. Even if I’m released, I’ll kill myself. Don’t bother paying the ransom.’
Those were the last words she ever spoke to him.
While her father was still holding the phone, he heard the gunshot. He heard his daughter being killed. Moments later, the bandits sent pictures of her remains to him, a final act of cruelty.
A 23-year-old girl. My neighbor. Someone’s daughter, someone’s sister, someone’s friend gone in the most horrific way possible.
This is not just one story. This is the nightmare too many families are living in Niger State and across Nigeria. Young women snatched on the roads, violated, used as bargaining chips, and discarded like nothing.
Living in Nigeria has become truly scary. You wake up, you step out, and you don’t know if you or your loved ones will return home. The fear is constant. The pain is constant. And too often, justice never comes.
Rest in peace to my neighbor.

A sane society should not be quiet with 46 kids in captivity! 46! How can our leaders even sleep at night? The trauma and pain they and their families must be feeling right now is not fair at all. This really has to stop! Bring these children home!

🚨 BREAKING: THE THEATRE IS NO LONGER SACRED. TOP SURGEON BRUTALIZED AT UUTH. 🇳🇬
We are receiving horrific reports from the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH). This isn't just a news update; it is a direct assault on the medical profession.
This morning, May 12, 2026, armed and masked operatives identified by eyewitnesses as personnel from the EFCC stormed the federal facility in a commando-style raid. They didn't come to arrest a criminal; they came for Professor Eyo Ekpe.
Professor Ekpe is a Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery. He is the Deputy CMAC of UUTH. He is one of the few specialists standing between life and death for millions of Nigerians in the South-South.
Witnesses say the operatives were ruthless. Staff members who tried to intervene were beaten and threatened with firearms. Imagine being a Professor of Medicine and the Deputy CMAC of a tertiary hospital, only to be dragged out of your office like a common thief.
Reports suggest this assault was triggered by a dispute over a medical report for a relative of a high-ranking official. However, the EFCC has yet to issue an official statement explaining the reason for the raid itself, as the entire situation simply does not make sense.
We are calling on the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA): How much more can we take? If a Professor of Surgery is not safe in his own hospital, who is?
Nigeria is bleeding specialists, and today, the system just cut its own throat. We demand the immediate release of Professor Ekpe and a total apology for this desecration of our health sector. 🩺✊
