I know this Fighter personally, and this campaign means something to me beyond a poster or a political slogan. Last year, during the birthday of the Economic Freedom Fighters, @SithembeleRush and I were together on the ground putting up EFF posters. When the work was done, we were also there taking them down together. That is what organisational loyalty looks like to me. You do the work when there are cameras, and you do the work when nobody is watching.

Today, I see my brother and fellow Fighter standing as one of our candidates in Ward 94. He comes from Khayelitsha, a community that knows the hard realities of life in Cape Town. Unemployment, poverty, housing struggles, safety concerns, inadequate services and a lack of opportunities are not political talking points for the people living these realities. They are everyday life.

Khayelitsha has hardworking people who wake up every morning and fight to survive. Young people with dreams but too few opportunities. Families trying to build decent lives under difficult circumstances. Communities demanding proper services, safety, housing and dignity.

That is why the campaign cannot only be about election day. It must be about being on the ground with the people, listening to them and understanding their pain. It must be about Fighters who are prepared to work, organise and stand with their communities.

Sithembela, we have put up the posters together. We have taken them down together. We have stood with the EFF together. And we remain here. We will remain here. We are Fighters of the EFF, and we will continue serving the organisation we love.

Now the work continues. Khayelitsha must be heard. Ward 94 must be heard. The people of Cape Town must be heard.
