So let’s get this straight:

MaMkhize was under investigation by SARS, and the inquiry was led by senior attorney Coreth Naudè. In the middle of all this, there was an attempt on Coreth’s life — an attempted murder. She survived.

Following that, MaMkhize’s home was raided in connection with the tax evasion case. During the raid, over 40 firearms were found — and they were registered to CAT VIP Protection, a company owned by Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.

Now, this is the same Cat whose wife allegedly ordered a hit on actress Tebogo Thobejane. The same Cat implicated in the R850 million corruption scandal exposed by whistleblower and CFO, Babita Deokaran — who was later assassinated. Despite all this, Cat still secured a R360 million SAPS tender. Thankfully, SAPS National Commissioner Gen. Fannie Masemola stepped in and reportedly said, “Not on my watch.”

But it goes deeper.

Lt. Gen. Mkhwanazi has now linked Cat to Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, Deputy Minister Shadrack Sibiya, and a mysterious figure named Brown Mogotsi.

Who is Brown Mogotsi?

He’s an ANC member and businessman with no official government role — but moves like a high-ranking state official, with access to sensitive intelligence. In an April 2025 interview with EWN, Mkhwanazi claimed Brown is from the North West province and is closely aligned with Minister Mchunu.

Allegedly, Brown tried to create friction among the police’s top brass by sending Mkhwanazi messages and documents to push his own agenda. Mkhwanazi stated that both Brown and Mchunu’s political careers are bankrolled by Cat. Wild, right?

There’s even WhatsApp evidence and police POPs suggesting that Cat co-owns a criminal gang in Mamelodi, which has been extorting residents in Ikageng — claiming they can divert water from the reservoir into the settlement.

Now here’s where it gets sinister.

Cat and Brown reportedly instructed Minister Mchunu to disband a special police task team that was successfully investigating political assassinations. Looks like the task team was getting too close. Mchunu didn’t waste time — he sent Sibiya, his deputy, to pull 121 dockets from the team’s hands.

The very next day, the task team received a letter telling them to “pack your bags and go kiss your wives — your little treasure hunt is over.” According to Mkhwanazi, the team had already secured warrants of arrest, but those warrants have never been signed. Wonder why?

Sibiya later went on air dismissing the task team, claiming they had done nothing about the AKA murder. This is the same Sibiya who was the first responder at the scene of Senzo Meyiwa’s shooting — where several celebrities, including Chicco Twala’s son, were present.

Mkhwanazi further alleges that the now-disbanded task team had uncovered links between top police officials and drug trafficking syndicates operating at major ports — especially in KwaZulu-Natal — with the network being coordinated from Gauteng.

1. Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala crime stems back from the early 2000’s with cash in transits and house robberies.

2. He rose to fame after he met Hangwani Morgan Maumela. Together, they supplied healthcare products to the Tembisa Hospital. They managed to manipulate the rfq system with multiple companies owned, managed, and controlled by them. Millions of money were stolen. This is evidence with the lavish lifestyle that they lived owning properties in the most expensive places in South Africa, namely Sandhurst and Camps Bay. Babita mastermind is Vusi Matlala and Morgan Maumela. She had frozen payments of up to R70mil owed to Morgan, and after her death, the payments were paid to them.

3. A few months later, he killed his best friend Kgosi in Mamelodi on the basis that he could not pay Kgosi his money back.

4. Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala was protected by very high-ranking officials, from generals to Police Ministers. He became very well known as the contract killer for the late Jonathan “Mswazi” Msibi. To prove himself, he had tried to kill Joe Sibanyone, also known as “Joe Ferrari” at the entrance of the Centurion Estate in August 2022.

5. Cat had been in a romantic relationship with Cordelia Kabeng but soon met Tebogo Thobejane. During their relationship, Tebogo introduced Cat to Tsakani Baloyi, also known as TK. Soon after, TK started her romantic relationship with Cat. She was not happy about Cat dating Tebogo. They eventually broke up their relationship, but TK was still not happy. She flew abroad several times to change her body to look like Tebogo, which was very suspicious as she wanted to satisfy Cat. TK could not stand Tebogo, and she asked Cat to please get rid of her.

6. Cordelia stood firm in the relationship as she came from a poor background, and Cat sent her on trips using private jets and driving around with blue lights.

7. Cat has very strong ties in Ekhuruleni Metro Police. He gifted the head Brig Julius Mkhwanazi with a black Mercedes Benz as seen in photos.

8. Cat also killed the famous Dj Sumbody because he had ties with Joe Ferrari. The cruelty comes in when Cat and his wife TK show up at the funeral of Dj Sumbody with multiple bodyguards for them to be noticed.

9. Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala then moved onto looting Mamelodi Hospital after the scandal with Tembisa Hospital broke out.

10. Cat used Mswazi name and soon became a contract killer for many other people, including POLITICIANS

11. Cat soon became known as the “John Wick” of Mamelodi killing more than 5 Boko Harem members for him to gain access into the group and take the throne.

12. Soon Cat was known as the leader of Boko Harem.

13. Cat killed Alph Rams his friend after he had asked that Cat please return his R2mil that he had borrowed him.

14. Cat killed the very loved Boko Harem leader “Zorro” in Mamelodi to further solidify his access into the group. He manipulated them and turned them against each other.

15. Cat wife TK soon got caught into the lifestyle of these killings, also asking Cat to kill her baby daddy because he was refusing for her to change the surname of her kids to Matlala.

16. TK was successful in manipulating Cat to eventually try to kill Tebogo, but it eventually failed.

17. Cat is very well known as a killer and also doesn’t shy away by naming all the high-ranking police officials that protect him.

18. ⁠He is believed to be responsible for the burning of the Tembisa Hospital
