“1.5 million Christians were slaughtered at the hands of the Ottoman Empire 111 years ago”.
This is the empire some Muslims pitch as the apex of religious freedom in Islam.
Our government needs to end this Syria charade once and for all. You don’t fight terrorists by rebranding other terrorists and calling it strategy. If anyone still thinks that’s smart policy, they should probably go learn to code and stay far away from national security.
This isn’t just a statement ...This is a warning delivered inside the U.S. Congress.
@nadinemaenza lays it bare:
11,000 fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces died defeating ISIS alongside the U.S., while building the only inclusive governance model left in Syria, one that protected Christians, Yazidis, Kurds, women, and every community fleeing extremism. Half its leadership: women.
That refuge is now under assault.
Despite a direct call from President Trump to stop the attacks on Kurdish neighborhoods in Aleppo, home to Christians and Yazidis, the offensive continued. Islamist security forces pushed north-east and documented their own crimes: beheadings, executions of families, rape, bodies thrown from buildings, eyes gouged out.
This isn’t integration.
This is forced submission by terror.
Maenza connects the dots: the same ecosystem of HTS-linked forces, foreign fighters, and Turkish-backed militias carried out mass killings of Alawites in March (1,500+ dead), Druze in Sweida in July (1,600+ killed, 120,000 displaced), bombed Mar Elias Church killing 25 Christians, and now threaten Yazidis with a repeat of the ISIS genocide.
Her message to Washington is blunt:
Agreements mean nothing without enforcement.
Pragmatism without pressure equals surrender.
Designate Syria a Country of Particular Concern.
Enforce the January 30 agreement.
Pass the Save the Kurds Act.
End the sieges of Kobani and Sweida.
Purge foreign fighters.
Guarantee equal citizenship or stop pretending this is a transition.
This is what accountability sounds like when someone still dares to tell the truth.
Watch. Listen. Document. Because silence is complicity.
For the third consecutive day | People go out in protests in Lattakia city, demanding the disclosure of fate of kidnapped child Mohammed Haider @syriahr https://t.co/LJsvYxcofA
On this day, in 2023, the graduation ceremony of the #SyrianMilitaryAcademy in Homs was targeted by the extremist, violent, Islamist groups that rule the country today, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of more than a hundred young men, along with many members of their families who had come to attend the ceremony. May God have mercy on the martyrs and grant strength and solace to their families and loved ones who still carry the weight of that tragic day 💔
Condolences to the families of the two young Syrian Christian men (Wissam George Mansour and Shafiq Rafiq Mansour) killed, and the third (Pierre Hariqis) critically injured, in Wadi al-Nasara (Valley of Christians) after what, as usual, the Islamist regime security forces called an attack by “unidentified assailants.” We pray for Syria and all its daily victims who suffer under this dark, oppressive Islamist regime. 🕯️
Our deepest condolences to Manchester.
The pain of this senseless terror is shared by all who stand for humanity. The attacker, Jihad Al-Shamie, a British citizen of Syrian descent, chose the path of hatred and destroyed innocent lives.
Monsters like him must be watched closely — they follow a perverted, Islamist extremist ideology that distorts faith and glorifies violence.
Let us remember: faith and decency know no borders — and neither does evil. The answer must always be unity, compassion, and justice. 🕯️🇬🇧
