@JayHornung I didn't realize the extent to which I was viewed as a "boss"—I tried to treat the writer–editor relationships like were equals working together toward a common goal. (I didn't always do a great job at this, but that's what I strive for.)
@JayHornung I always had positive interactions w/ you at events. I assumed you (and most other players) were stressed/hyper-focused/on edge at those big events (Nats, Worlds) and I didn't want to distract you. I was happy to be able to say hello in person and see how you were doing.
Thank you all for the kind words and stories you've shared. I have read every message sent my way and many happy memories have come flooding back. The past few days have been emotional for me. It's overwhelming realizing how much of a positive impact 6P had on so many people.
everyone please read this. perfectly worded thoughts on covid's effects on competitive ptcg content creation. 6P is a phenomenal resource for the community, i am thrilled to have gotten a chance to write for them, and i hope they can return even stronger in the future
SixPrizes was the first of its kind and set the gold standard for PTCG content websites for over 10 years. It's been a pleasure to work on and off with Adam and the rest of the 6P staff throughout it all and I'll miss the site very very much.
Adam is a great guy and Six Prizes is a pillar of this community’s history. I subbed to the Underground in 2012-2013 and I owe credit to many of the writers during that period for teaching me how to play the game. Best wishes in all your future endeavors Adam!
SixPrizes was one of the first places I shared my YouTube channel, as well as the first place I was able to write professionally. Adam always encouraged my work and taught me a TON about code/web.
Good luck on your next chapter! https://t.co/wjjr3Td5Tc is still the GOAT
Adam Capriola was the first person to give me any sort of opportunity in Pokemon, and he continually gave me opportunities and guidance at times when I deserved neither. I would not be where I am today without SixPrizes, and I owe everyone involved a great debt. End of an era. ❤️
Every corner of the Pokémon TCG community has felt the positive influence of 6P. Adam and 6P always prioritized relationships over transactions - it is so important for the community to continue forward with a similar attitude. Thank you for showing us the way @SixPrizes! 👏👏
This is really sad to see. The Pokémon TCG community owes a lot to Adam and the entire @SixPrizes crew. 6P will always be a major part of the game's history, and it's a big reason why the competitive community grew as much as it did. Thank you for over a decade of great content!
I'm looking to buy a copy of the Michikazu Tsuda 2014 World Championship deck, Crazy Punch. Must be NM, must have all inserts/booklets/packaging, but can be opened. It's for a project to archive all WC decks for https://t.co/o4gg6cKOYl. Thanks!
