I spoke to @XoliMngambi to correct the inaccuracies regarding Tshwane’s expenditure on water tanker services. While the former mayor of Tshwane continues to manipulate public opinion, the facts remain clear: The figure of R777 million is a lie. As records show, spending by the previous administration was actually higher than that of the current administration.
We’ve spent the past year investing in internal city-owned water tankers that are driven by our own staff.
We’ve done this with a commitment to reduce spending on external contracts when emergency water delivery is required.
The beautiful reaction to this ad is evidence of the need and craving for authentic storytelling and creators. Not AI slop that is devoid of human connection and nuance.

A Kaya News reporter was involved in an altercation with a member of @MYANC Secretary General @MbalulaFikile security team at the Constitutional Court this morning.
Reporter Tsholofelo Tsoku was covering the ANC’s reaction to the court’s judgment when the incident occurred.
Journalists had been asked to give Mbalula space after he became lightheaded during a media briefing.
As Mbalula was leaving the court precinct, Tsoku was filming the moment when she was pushed by a member of his security team, who also threw a jacket towards her face.
Kaya 959 has formally written to the ANC expressing its concern over the incident and seeking clarity on the conduct of the security personnel involved.
Kaya 959 remains committed to protecting the rights of journalists to carry out their work freely and without intimidation, while recognising the importance of appropriate security arrangements for public figures. GM

My deepest respect to @eNCA journalist Slindelo Sebata for showing dignity, compassion and Ubuntu when ANC Secretary-General Mbalula collapsed at the Constitutional Court. By asking that the camera turn away and stop filming, Slindelo placed another human being’s dignity and wellbeing first. That response reflects values deeply rooted in our African cultures: empathy, compassion, respect and care for others, especially in moments of vulnerability. Ubuntu calls on us to recognise the humanity of the person before us and respond with kindness. We do not want news at all costs. A person’s life, health and dignity matter far more than capturing a dramatic moment. Journalism carries a responsibility to inform, and that responsibility must always leave room for humanity. Thank you, Slindelo, for reminding us that compassion belongs in journalism, too.
A Modimo le Badimo ba go apese ka lesedi. Pula! To the ANC Secretary-General, best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Get well soon. Mayihlome!!!!
Mbalula has every right to shed tears over this judgement
It would have been tragic for voters and he most of all stood to loose in the coming months within his org. Many of us had written him off (rightfully so) due in part to his own actions. Congrats Jola. lesson learnt I hope
On behalf of the government and people of South Africa, I offer warm congratulations to His Excellency President @PaulKagame and the government and people of Rwanda on securing a 10-year agreement to host the Formula 1 African Grand Prix.
South Africa shares in the pride with which Rwanda is preparing to fly the chequered flag for our continent with the hosting of a globally prestigious event at the planned Bugesera circuit from the early 2030s.
This contract is a recognition of the capabilities of the Rwandan nation and of our continent more broadly.
As host of the first Grand Prix on African soil in 1993, and organiser of other major global events, South Africa will be happy to provide any support we may be invited to share.
The F1 African Grand Prix is another lustrous addition to Rwanda’s growing collection of top international events, including the UCI-classified Tour du Rwanda cycling race.
Congratulations, Rwanda.
You are in pole position to make all of Africa proud and take motorsport to new heights.

One of the most misunderstood aspects of the EFF’s political programme is its immigration policy. The EFF’s position is rooted in Pan Africanism, the integration of the African continent and the free movement of African people.
