What a year! To y8 - you are absolutely the best year group ever. Take care of yourselves and each other, reflect on your successes, take time to rest and relax and remember to keep having fun! I know youโll all be amazing when you return in y9. See you all soon! Miss Chambers ๐
Y8 we are so close to the Summer Holidays! Keep going...3 and a half days left of Home Learning then many weeks to rest, recharge and relax. You can do this ๐๐ผ๐๐ผโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ๐๐
So lovely to see so many smiley faces this morning at the y8 Awards Assembly. I am so so proud of every single one of the y8s and all they have achieved during the school year and lockdown. Such a fantastic year group and Iโve been so lucky to be their Head of Year ๐
After two successful virtual form times this week, I cannot wait to see you all for our first live Year 8 assembly tomorrow! Make sure you are ready and logged in at 8.45am....details on how to log in will be emailed shortly! Canโt wait to see you all ๐๐คช๐คฉ๐ฅณ
Lockdown your personal info! ๐๐ฃ You wouldnโt share sensitive information with a stranger, so why do it online? This weekโs #WakeUpWednesday guide provides #OnlineSafety tips for parents on protecting โPersonal Dataโ >> https://t.co/dquoDiZ5uM
A reminder that there is another virtual tutor time tomorrow morning. Same place (Zoom link you used on Monday) and same time (8:45-9:10) Iโm already looking forward to it and hope the y8s are too ๐
Half way through the week y8. Iโve had a look on EduLink and can see so many of you ticking off lots of different subjects... keep going youโre all doing fantastically well!
This evening I took some inspiration from the talented y8s and did some baking of my own.... gluten free scones ๐๐ผ just a little bit bigger then I had planned.... ๐๐ฐ
For next week I have challenged y8 to chat about things that children have now that parents / grandparents didnโt have but would have liked... like the internet, phones etc. How did they manage without these things? โ๏ธ๐ฑ
Another enjoyable discussion group with y8 this morning. We discussed pranks played when parents were at school, the horror of not having the internet for homework help (!!) and a story about students jumping out of their science class window.... ๐๐
