Larry Silverstein had just signed a 99-year lease for the World Trade Center complex on July 24, 2001 for $3.2 billion.

Immediately after signing the lease, Larry took out terrorism insurance on both towers and building 7, valued at $6.2 billion.

Ultimately he was awarded $4.55 billion, a $1.3 billion profit.

There were only 3 buildings destroyed on 9/11, and Lucky Larry leased all of them.
