Skagit County has adopted the 2025 Guemes Island ferry fare schedule. New fares will start on February 26th and be in effect through December 31st, 2025.

Skagit County offices will be closed on Monday, January 20th, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
The Clear Lake transfer station will be closed. The Guemes Island ferry will run on a normal schedule.

The Guemes Island car ferry will return to service this evening, Monday 1/6, for the 4:30 p.m. sailing. The 4:00 p.m. sailing is cancelled to allow for the transition from the passenger ferry to the car ferry.

The Guemes Island ferry is running about 30 minutes behind due to fog and temporary staffing issues. There will be no second 11:15am ferry. We anticipate being back on schedule with the 1:00pm departure.

A signed detour is in place. Cross travel on SR 20/NCH remains possible, the highway is open!

The road will be open to traffic each night and all day Saturday and Sunday. We encourage drivers to please exercise caution when driving near this area during work hours and to please make other arrangements for their routes.
Skagit County Public Works will be closing Pulver Road, just south of Josh Wilson Road, during the day from September 16th through September 26th, excluding the weekend, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Crews will be extending a culvert under Pulver Road in order to increase the turn radius of the intersection. The improvement will include guard rail and asphalt work and will close the south leg of the intersection to all vehicles during the above hours.
