Dr. Timmons has referred to MUNFA’s unpaid salaries during the strike as “savings” for the university, & that it would equal to less than an expected 4mill from dropped courses. Clearly, the administration sees MUNFA salaries as profit to weigh out their unbalanced spending.
Search committees are supposed to determine procedure, but when the VP Grenfell search committee first met, we found out that an exec search firm had already been hired. We have had to fight against so much bullying and misinformation to get open searches.
A link to a report by HESA in MUN's last statement on collegial governancr was brought to our attention.
While it's unclear if this was paid for by MUN, a recent ATIPP request found out that the author of the article, Alex Usher, has been previously paid by MUN. ($36,000+).
