Primary 1 and 2 welcomed author Alice Hemming to school as part of Aberdeen’s Granite Noir Festival. She shared a reading of her book ‘The Snow Thief’. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

🎭Looking forward to seeing our pupils take to the stage both in and out of school over the next couple of weeks. We are also very proud of our own Mr Reid in his leading role. Superb reviews Mr Reid, well done 🎭🌟

‘Sharing the Learning’ for term 1 has been shared. Please take some time over the holidays to discuss these with your child/ren and let them tell you about the ‘what’, ‘how’ and ‘why’ of their learning.
As the temperature dips through autumn into winter, we have added new and pre-loved hats, scarves and gloves to our swap shop. Please take what you need and give, when and what you can 🥰🍂 🧤 🥰 #kindness@CPAGScotland
The ‘knowledge harvest’ from P3 generated the big question of ‘What are we going to do with all that rubbish?’. One of their ideas to explore was how they can reuse clothing? Looking forward to these lifeskills being developed. 🪡🧵
Well done to all Aberdeen City schools entering our design a pea character competition! 🎨
The winning design comes from Prassida at @SkeneSquare with runners up Emily from Glashieburn Primary and Nadia from Mile-End Primary @AberdeenCouncil @SoilAssocScot@RNCI1@CFINEAberdeen
Our final ‘Sharing the learning’ for this school session has been shared via classrooms and on our app. Please discuss and celebrate all the wonderful and new learning that has taken place this term #growth#ambition
Showcasing our final art project of P5C! Our learners took inspiration from artist Frida Kahlo to create their own self portraits, taking care to include features of her distinctive style as well as adding their own personalisations. Very impressive! @SkeneSquare
When learning about inherited characteristics, P5C chose DNA, that included code for both dominant and recessive genes, from a mum Reebop and a dad Reebop to produce a randomised offspring! 🧬 Thank you @MissGordon17 for inspiring this lesson, our learners loved it! @SkeneSquare
Huge congratulations to our P6 and P7 netball team, who were fantastic at their first (friendly) match against Ashley Road School. Our pupils have recently been introduced to the sport of netball and made us all proud. Thanks to Miss Brown and Mrs Fraser 🏐
As you can see from the photos, P5 had a blast at Greenmyres Bothy yesterday! Thanks @AdventureAbz for organising a wonderful trip. More photos in this term's Sharing the Learning.
An adventure and activity filled day for Primary 5 at Greenmyres Eco Bothay with the team from Adventure Aberdeen. Canoeing, rock climbing and wilderness skills 🏕️ 🧗🏾♀️🚣🏽♂️@SkeneSquare
⏰ Morning campers!
No alarm clock needed here because you don’t need one if you don’t actually go to sleep 😴 😫😂.
Don’t be fooled because although not many bodies outside of tents, they are ALL awake inside them 😳
