@Rahll Apparently they were losing 15m a day running Sora 2.
They invested hundreds of millions in training the model. To just dump it infers that things are very wrong.

@Rahll Indeed. It's a fantasy. The rich are the ruling class and are looking to cement their rule.
If anything, history has shown that they will not give up their power easily. If they're funding the coming AI revolution, why would society become more equitable?

@JensClaessens Super stuff. Yeah - at art school we were taught that draughtsmanship and illustration were crafts and not worthy of fine artists. We should be focusing on concept and theory.
I wish we had been taught more technique and feel that would have led to deeper understanding.
