Did anyone know that there is a hypothetical relation between the creation of the Santa clause story and psychedelic mushrooms? Apparently there was a mushroom or more likely groups of mushrooms that were part of rituals that were used by the Sami peoples of Lapland. The mushroom accredited for the experience is amanita muscaria, also known as fly agaric. There was apparently an outlawing of shamanistic practices in the area, but the real fun part is the relation of a man coming down a chimney to deliver psychedelic contraband to the people. These mushrooms were eaten by shamans in conjunction with the urine from reindeer who also ate the mushrooms. Interestingly enough the reindeer processed the mushroom through their system and would urinate it out with the harmful toxins removed while keeping the psychedelic effects in tact. The mushrooms are also attributed to making the reindeer erratically prance around in a drunken sort of state while those onlookers who were also under the influence could have mistaken that for flying.
@0hour1 I'll stick with having one on me loaded while I drive and a whole case of guns unlocked in my backseat on my way to the range .... Having a concealed carry is more fun
