Partial Temporary Closure of Red Island Car Park 31 january
Upcoming temporary closure of part of Red Island Car Park. The closure is to facilitate essential maintenance works on the overhead canopy at the entrance to the car park, as pictured below.
The works will take place on Wednesday 31st January between the hours of 7am and 3pm.
Parking will remain available at the smaller carpark on the left while approaching the canopy pictured.

Busy few days for our crew responding to multiple callouts including missing person search at Laytown, Balbriggan swimmer in difficulty, speedboat aground at Donabate, person trapped on Rush cliffs & motor boats operating at speed close to bathers at Loughshinny/Skerries.
Skerries CG team tasked to Portrane yesterday evening to assist @HSELive ambulance crew with evacuation of casualty with severe lower leg fractures. CG heli #Rescue116 safely winched casualty from shore to clifftop. 🎥 shows R116 recovering its winchman & departing back to base.
Yesterday evening Skerries CG team were tasked to rescue of a paddleboarder in difficulty at Balbriggan. Coast Guard heli Rescue 116 also on scene. Casualty was taken on board Skerries lifeboat and safely returned ashore to Skerries CG team, all resolved ok.
This morning, ourselves & the crew of Dublin CG Heli Rescue116 paid a training visit to @ballyboughalgfc to provide water safety advice & an intro to Coast Guard operations to nearly 200 local children. A really worthwhile & enjoyable visit ⚓

Skerries CG team tasked to rescue of injured casualty in the water at Rush harbour earlier with @skerriesrnli@GardaTraffic@DubFireBrigade . Skerries CG team secured LZ for CG Heli Rescue116 in nearby field & transferred casualty onboard. R116 departed for Beaumont LZ.
