@FallingDj@chriscnorris Tip, check that the bar doesn't have a lip caused by friction, it's a sure sign of a blunt chain that is too tight, if it does, remove the 'burr' with a file, don't forget to clean the groove also!🤘
@FallingDj@chriscnorris 🙏🙏✊❤️ I have a shed full of them, from top-handled pruning and climbing saws👍 to full on beasts, I worked as a tree surgeon for years in between tours or layoffs! .
@FallingDj correct chain tension is imperative - too tight = bar burnout and chain snapping, too slack chain will slip off the bar. generally when correctly tensioned you should be able to pull the chain from the bar by about 1/8" at halfway down the bar🤘❤️✊
@chriscnorris@FallingDj also correct viscosity is more important than quantity of oil too, for two reasons, it sticks to the chain and also lessens environmental impact. (low/anti-fling) 👍
