@taskmasterfan I feel like playing that role was probably very satisfying because it gave her a chance to show what real evils are happening in our world
Part of this argument I think comes up because people can’t reconcile the fact that someone with harmful political beliefs can also do good/morally upright things. Anakin WAS a deeply caring person who helped people. He was also selfish, power hungry, and violent.
@dumbdummils It’s either all completely true or he just exaggerates to get a reaction lol. Like it was just that he broke his wrist cuz he slipped while on a fishing trip. Idk like both options for different reasons haha
@dumbdummils Love the idea of Simon being that teacher who will unexpectedly drop the craziest lore about themselves to their students. “Oh yeah, I almost lost my whole arm in a freak boating accident.”
-tricks and violates the autonomy of the pain protagonist
-manipulates and brainwashes someone into a relationship
-forces a man into indentured servitude by threatening his daughter
Congrats Disney you wrote the worst drag rep ever
Whatever they might do in the future to “fix” Finn’s character might be too little too late. The disregard for Finn after TFA was so egregious that it permanently damaged his presence in the entire trilogy.
Granted, a skilled writer could come along and change that but idk
I don’t want them to being him back to life but if they do I want it be be as a shambling zombie driven by Mace’s strong sense of balance with the force where his base instinct is to try and correct where he sees he failed. And I want this to be a problem for everyone
@artgbitzy Tbh this is a big reason I’ve avoided interesting with the fandom. I love how creative iron lung fans are but I can’t get behind Simon as this super aggressive macho bad boy. It just doesn’t sit right with me
