देश के माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने दिल्ली में छात्रों से एक आत्मीय संवाद किया। इस संवाद के दौरान उन्होंने साझा किया कि एक बार जब उनसे पूछा गया कि यदि उन्हें प्रधानमंत्री की बजाय किसी अन्य मंत्रालय की जिम्मेदारी संभालनी होती, तो वे क्या करते, तो उन्होंने कहा कि वे स्किल डेवलपमेंट (कौशल विकास) मंत्रालय की जिम्मेदारी संभालते, क्योंकि स्किल की शक्ति बहुत बड़ी होती है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि माता-पिता को अपने बच्चों की कौशल क्षमता को पहचानकर उन्हें आगे बढ़ाने का प्रयास करना चाहिए।

Centre of Excellence (COEs) are envisioned as aspirational institutions for candidates, conducting extensive research to enhance the quality and delivery of skill training, skilling candidates through affiliates, training of trainers to ensure continuous supply of quality trainers in each sector etc. As per CoE guidelines of MSDE, six institutions have been recognized as CoEs. Shared insights on NSDC’s pivotal role in empowering the youth through skilling, with active involvement of the private sector. Also shared the critical role of Sectoral Skill Councils in shaping India’s skilling ecosystem and the impact of the Skill India Digital Hub (#SIDH), now integrated into the India Stack, in transforming skill development initiatives to the next level.

Emergence of Skill Impact Bond (#SIB) as a groundbreaking financial tool in enhancing youth employment outcomes and the contribution of CSR funds from the private sector towards skilling was also highlighted.

Delhi: Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD of NSDC International, says, "The impact bond is a unique experiment, involving many philanthropic institutions that financed it. The target is to train 50,000 people, of which 30,000 have already received training. Among them, 74 percent are women, and about 80 percent have secured jobs, with 60 percent having worked for more than three months. The outcomes have been very positive, and I want to congratulate the NAC team and all participants involved in this skill impact initiative, which is closely linked to ground realities. Notably, 99 percent of these individuals had never held a job before, and over 50 percent have completed only up to the tenth grade. Training these individuals and helping them find jobs is a significant effort and directly aligns with the PM's initiative"
