Demand for emergency healthcare hasn’t increased, complexity has. The proportion of people presenting to emergency departments with 5 or more chronic conditions has increased in the last seven years from 10% to 30% - @Vin_Diwakar

Couldn’t be more excited to see this published!
Incredible to see so many EM ACPs take the time to both champion the study and complete the survey.
Thanks to everyone involved - very proud to be part of such a great community of professionals.

So much variation in ACP job titles & roles, education & supervision. ACPs want more time for CPD and work across ALL 4 pillars, especially research. @NHS_HealthEdEng @BeverleyHarden

I’m delighted to have participated in the first meeting of the Study Steering Committee for this important research earlier today. @RCEMpresident@RCollEM@SkillmixE
@clifford0584 Thanks 4 re-tweet about the study🙂Good point re NMP . Each professional group (nurses , paramedics, physiotherapists etc. ) use diff names for advanced practice in ED, plus physician associates – sentences very long to list all. Hence NMP but open to other collective terms ?
The optimal balance of doctors, nurses and advanced practice health professionals in NHS Emergency Departments to be examined in new study.
