Rough finish to a great Summer League run💔
Adu Theoro: I think was built in a lab. 18 and 10,perfect from the field. Ready to feast next to Luka.
Cam Carr: 17pts, Struggled from deep but proved he can create his own shot under pressure.
Chris Mañon: He tried to do too much late but his 7 REB, 4 AST, and point of attack defense shouldn't be ignored after one bad game.
Tough loss but lots to look forward to,this is what development is for. #LakeShow
everyone wanted the Kessler trade to cost less but “how do you get a defensive anchor in Luka’s prime” was a question no one had a clean answer to cuz those players aren’t available and if they are they’re incredibly expensive
Why do I want the Lakers to really consider keeping and developing Carr/Thiero/Manon/*Kaluma?
-Kessler was a 24th pick-cost us 2 FRPs/swaps to trade
-Mamu was a 54th pick-$52m as a free agent
-Grimes was a 25th pick-$60m as a free agent
Yes it's painstaking and the temptation is there for quick fixes, but we are out of draft capital now so let's please develop and keep our young guys.
At what point are we gonna stop bringing up the rescinded trade as an excuse for his poor play. If he hasn't moved past it by now then he's never gonna get over it, did it suck for him absolutely but you are a pro gotta learn how to move past it
Dalton Knecht had a rough sophomore slump after that rescinded trade completely broke his confidence, but people are giving up on him way too early.
He’s still a 6'7" athletic three level scorer. If he can figure out the defensive side, he’s a massive weapon next to Luka.
Here’s a clip if you don’t remember how good he was in his rookie year, Launched 5 straight 3s and career high 37 against Jazz.
WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?!
AN INTERESTING 5 YEARS!?! What could that be!?!
Not making the playoffs!? A first round exit ?! A second round exit!?! Not making the finals!?
THATS ALL HAPPENED THE LAST 5 YEARS. SO WHAT IN THE FUCK WOULD BE SO INTERESTING!?!
Lakers reach a deal with Williams and CAA Co-Head of Basketball Aaron Mintz to address their wing depth -- and LA continues to strongly pursue Jonathan Kuminga as a potential starting forward, sources tell ESPN. Williams averaged 10.2 points and 22.9 minutes for the Nets last season and enters his sixth campaign.
pretty obvious what the lakers need to do
cut suder
sign kaluma to a 2 way
sign mañon to a standard
use the empty 2 way spot to sign a standout summer league guy from another team
Tyler Herro should probably pipe down after his altercations with Bam Adebayo and Amen Thompson. It’s clear that his mouth keeps writing checks that his hands can’t cash. 😂🤦🏾♂️
Per Jake Fischer (Bleacher Report livestream from Las Vegas), Jonathan Kuminga is looking for more than $25M per year:
"I do believe that Kuminga is looking for something more than that $25 million ballpark that he landed last year from Golden State. Quite frankly, I find it difficult to imagine he's going to find that number on this marketplace."
On the Lakers' offer:
"They have made offers to Jonathan Kuminga repeatedly. Last I heard, two years, $20 million was what the Lakers were hoping for."
