In 2021 I was incredibly privileged and was able to purchase a home. At the start of this admin I was able to afford all of my bills and just barely have enough money left over for savings. Now that we are a year into the admin, I am hundreds of dollars in the red every month.

And to further push my point I should also mention that I am a state government employee that is a part of a union. I get cost of living increases and the last one made a 13% change towards the right direction. I would need 5 of those to be there I was last year.
