So Lamar will most likely have:
- 5th highest pass TD % all-time
- 7th highest Int % all-time
- Highest QB rating all-time
- 1st player to have 4k pass and 800 rush yards.
- Only player to have 40+ TDs and < 5 Ints.
- Tie Record for most playoff teams beaten.
And yet no MVP?
Three MVP arguments I'm tired of hearing:
- It's Josh Allen's time.
- You can't give Lamar MVP when he has Derrick Henry.
- Lamar doesn't show up in big moments.
Here's a Reality Check. Let's refute them, one by one:

Ashton Jeanty has had another stellar performance in the conference championship.
If Travis Hunter can match it this weekend, he’ll have an argument to win the Heisman.
My final take on the Heisman:
If Travis Hunter is as elite as everyone is saying Colorado should not have 3 losses. Yes, football is a team sport but by playing both sides he has the ability to change the outcome of the game more than anyone else.
On the flip side you take Ashton Jeanty off of this Boise State team and I think everyone would agree the Broncos wouldn’t be near the first-round bye conversation.
Taking names & brands out of the conversation, the most outstanding player would be the one who is #1 in every statistical category for the position, chasing the best RB season in history, and carrying his team to a possible bye in the CFP.
Ball over brand.

Defenses change their entire game plans each week for just a chance to slow down Jeanty. Including formations, personnel, and concepts they would never normally run. Causing significant compromises. Hunter is elite at winning 1-on-1 match ups. Jeanty wastes entire teams, #1 ranked Oregon included. It’s not the same.
