I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! π€―
Hiya everyone! I wanted to formally announce that after almost a month since the hack, Twitter has FINALLY listened to my pleas and restored @CrystalDiamondC to me! That's right--IT'S MINE AGAIN!!! β€οΈππ₯³
Unfortunately, the hacker left a mess π, so it's going to need a lot of damage control to fix it all.
Still, I'm happy that it's back where it belongs, and since I have some new friends/followers here too, I'm going to see if I can manage both accounts so no one is left out. π₯°
And the main thing I want to say is thank you. ππ«ΆThank you all for always being by my side! π₯Ή

What to do if your account is hacked. π«
1. Evidence π§
You're going to need to prove you are the owner of the hacked account.
*Document any suspicious activity
*Take screenshots
*Find the email where you originally signed up for Twitter (if you can)
*Keep a lookout for any messages that your account's login information was changed
You can also utilize external websites that are linked to your Twitter account that you still have access to as proof of your identity.
2. Submit a form. π©π¨

You'll need to fill this out and respond to the automated reply in your email.
Now, doing this once ISN'T ENOUGH!
I filled it out and replied to the email everyday for a month before someone finally got back to me.
BE DILIGENT!
Keep sending in the forms and responding everyday, multiple times a day if you need to.
3. Create a Secondary Account βοΈ
Create another Twitter account and start spreading the word of your profile being hacked. Reach as many of your friends/followers as you can and let them know so they will be sure to ignore the hacker's attempts to scam them.
I found the hacker who stole my account attempted 157 different times via DM.
Hackers will NEVER post on a timeline or respond to a post because those can be tracked. They will only try to scam others through the secured line of direct messaging.
4. Report Original Account π£οΈ
Even if the hacker blocks you, you can still report them.
There are 2 reports you need to do.
1= Impersonation. (Put in your secondary profile as the one being impersonated.)
2= Spam
Encourage your friends/followers to do the same. This will help Twitter to see the account has been compromised.
5. Ignore the Bots πππ
There are TONS of other hackers who will try to convince you that either they or someone else can get your account back.
Don't even bother engaging with them.
BLOCK THEM!
Only Twitter can restore your account and they will ONLY do so through email verification--even subscribing to premium for the X chat support won't help (believe me, I know).
I hope this doesn't happen to any of you and I hope if it does, you get lucky and get your account back.

I was hoping since I got my original account back that I'd be able to manage both, but I get so many messages a day that it's proven to be an impossible task!
Since this account was a lifeline for me and there were so many meaningful posts/retweets/exchanges on here, I'm going to refrain from deleting it.
Instead, I'll just leave it up on hiatus basis.
You can catch me actively on my main account @CrystalDiamondC and know that if I ever disappear from there that I'll use this account to announce any mishaps.
I'll also make a thread under this post as to how I got my original account back from the hacker for any who need that information.

It took me a month and 34 messages to Twitter to get my account back.
Fill this out https://t.co/YMXSLKs3k9 and respond to the autoreply email afterwards. Do this everyday until they get back to you.
Meanwhile, engage in the community outlets like group pages and official accounts. Reach out to your old friends/followers and help spread the word of your old account being compromised while also getting your work out there.
It will take time, but it will work out. Just be patient and don't give up! β€οΈ

In life, you'll always have uncertainty, especially when it comes to venturing into the unknown, but the goal should always be the same--to find happiness.
You say you can never chat with your old family or friends, but never say never. This is the modern age of communication. If it's a person who is dictating whom you can associate with, then that's already a red flag of an unhealthy relationship and a possible foresight of how your life will be.
Now success doesn't always equal happiness. It may make things easier in some regards, but it really depends on how you want to live and what you value most. Blood is blood, family is choice, and life is too short to fill it with toxicity or to deny yourself an adventure.
If you haven't been there yet, try taking a weekend to Colorado. See what it's like, meet some people, and try to imagine how you would spend your life there. If your father/stepfather respects you, then he would understand you wanting to make an informed decision before uprooting yourself.
Lastly, don't fret about the negative. Possible enemies and unhappiness--you're going to find those no matter if you stay or go. Focus on your goals, think of how you'll spend weekends, evenings after work, and holidays. And whatever you decide now, there's no one saying it would be permanent. You could end up living in New York or Florida at some point in your lifetime.
Just like Shadow, be Fearless. Whatever your choose, don't be afraid of what may or may not be.
