@SkyeBound02 1. I really like the atmosphere and environments of the bottle ship, it's like if the BSL station went 3D.
2. I though the combat was really good. It's clunky to have to turn the remote to fire a missile though.
3. I like the look of all beam weapons together when charged up.
@ValhallaOutcast Ooohhh yeah, Phazon mines was finally where I had to take a break because not only is it hard, your respawn is the first save room if the area until you beat a certain boss far into it. It's hell on a first playthrough.
@cuhmekira Nah, Metroid is my absolute favorite franchise and I always encourage folks to play zero mission and Samus returns over the originals because they just did not age great. But I also encourage them to check out the originals when they feel like just to see how it started.
@stellarblue_ Someone said it best along the lines of new leaf felt like you moved into and lived in a community and it made everything seem more lively.
@lionheartaxe0 Honestly it does a really good job of the environment sort of leading you where to go next without directly telling you. You'll get lost, but when you go back to where you got a power up, look at your map, and look at the environment, it just clicks.
Warms my freaking heart that I keep seeing so many people getting into Metroid lately AND seeing Metroid Dread at #1 on the US eShop apparently. I've only ever gotten two people in my life to play the games and they loved them so this is surreal to me.
@myst__raven Super Metroid was I think my 6th game I played in the series. I also don't love it as much as others do but something about how muffled the sounds were and how quiet the music was really gave me a somber and lonely feeling the other games didn't.
@nef3rdfleeter Music was amazing. Environments were amazing. Atmosphere was amazing. Most power ups were great. What wasn't amazing was the desert, the linearity, the spongey bosses, the odd writing when it came to scans. The NPCs were ok. I just feel bad Nintendo wouldn't let the desert be cut
@B_Samto It never tells you, but basically if you're stuck, bomb the walls and floors. The insane thing here is bombing a part of the floor makes a pillar appear and it's never used for progression again. The pillar pops up for some item puzzles and that's it.
I don't know what my algorithm did but my for you page is mostly filled with people expressing their love for Metroid or people that have never played any of them saying they really want to play Ravenous. I love this
