1/ We’re building a perpetual protocol around a simple idea: outcomes should come from market direction and position management, not from hard-to-model exchange mechanics.
I'm sure of it, of course not 50B FDV, 15-20B its ok, in the next year. Many people think that Lighter is just another project for Max Short (and maybe it will be). But if CEO fulfills even part of its plans, I'm sure it will work out. The essence of Lighter is to let people earn money and take money from MM, essentially as their main investor, Robinhood, does. I shared some thoughts in my last post. Feel free to read it if you're interested.
I see that many are planning to short @Lighter_xyz . Quick short will most likely pay off, but globally only long (above $15B FDV) , and here's why:
- POINTS: Lighter has a lot of users, but there are fewer than 1k wallets with 1k points (https://t.co/5APg2JMra5). There will be pressure at TGE, but it will all come from the crowd with 10-100 points, and those who are willing to take a risk to get their Xs back will easily be able to buy them out.
- VCs: Behind them are funds that have ties to the government: FF, Robinhood, A16Z, Ribbit and other. USA now want to have a project under their control in all areas, @HyperliquidX doesn't obey them and poses risks, but Lighter can easily gain access to financial flows. To do this, they are making it as transparent as possible so that anyone can track it.
- Crowd: when everyone is waiting for one event, it usually doesn't happen. When everyone is shorting, it rises, when everyone is longing, it falls. This doesn't always work, but if you look at it from the perspective of exchanges and market makers, what is easier for them to do: short along with everyone else and let everyone earn money, or simply support the project and buy it out, and get your deposit? I wouldn't play that game in 2025.
- SALE: Lighter is not doing a sale (at least according to current information). Anyone who makes a sale just wants to cash out and forget about project.
- REGULATION: The need for exchanges will only grow. An example of this is regulation in all regions. Exchanges are increasingly requesting documents, which is extremely inconvenient. I don't want anyone to know how much money I have and where it comes from.
- CEO: The creator of the project @vnovakovski
is a person with an awesome background. He cares about his product, otherwise he wouldn't even respond to anyone here. And since it's important to him, he didn't come here for a quick flip. He's passionate about this project, and I'm sure he'll show what he's capable of.
- Revenue: Many compare it, claiming that Lighter does not have enough revenue to buy back tokens. But come on, it's literally a free perpdex, it's not supposed to do that. This project looks beyond a month of life and eternal price fluctuations. Its goal is not to give everyone millions and then shut down. Its essence lies in completely different things, and if you don't understand that right now, that's okay too.
- Competition: it is the basis of all development. Without competition, there would be no new products or features. Anyone trying to decide whether “Lighter or Hyperliquid” is better is like asking “BMW or Audi?” / “Puma or Adidas?” / “McDonald's or KFC?” / “Android or iOS?”. Every product has its own user, but together we create the development of this sphere. So let's wait for TGE, relax during the New Year celebrations, and burst into 2026 with new plans to catch our lifechange project.

WTF @binance ?
Why u list $LIT with @Lighter_xyz logo and use name "Litentry"? (https://t.co/uy637U0x3v)
Come on)
Dont be like MEXC. Dont use Lighter pre-TGE hype
20 minutes ago, the Weex (@WEEX_Official) exchange launched spot trading for $LIT (@Lighter_xyz). It is trading at $6 per token (6b FDV).
But this does not mean anything, as trades are being made at 3-6 tokens. The token itself has not yet been released, and users on the exchange are trading thin air. Most likely, the exchange is trying to catch the hype of the project and attract new users.
But what if this is preparation for a listing that will take place in the coming days? What do u think?
@im_insulting@Ferrari4u2 In any case, the influx of capital into crypto will benefit everyone. More money means higher overall capitalization. This isn't a war between DEXs, but between DEXs and CEXs)
If Lighter and Hyper can win together, I'll be happy. We have to support each other.
Only Robinhood and founders fund make it 5fdv.
Healthy competition is normal. It's an incentive for project development.
U do the math. For end of December there will be around 12m points
Let’s be 1b token supply, 25% drop. 250m tokens for 12m points. It’s 20 tokens per point. 5fdv, it’s 5$ per token. So 100$ at otc real price
Moreover, Robinhood and founders fund invest at 1.5 FDV, its 30-35$ per point
I'm not saying that Hyper is better/worse or Lighter is better/worse. I'm for adequate competition. Until a project has competition, it has a poor understanding of what needs to be developed.
