A man has raised concerns over the ongoing reconstruction at Onitsha Head Bridge, particularly the new demarcation separating vehicles moving in opposite directions.

According to him, if a car or truck breaks down in the middle of the bridge, vehicles behind it may have no way to divert to the other lane unless the damaged vehicle is removed or they drive back.

He explained that before the reconstruction, motorists could easily move into the opposite lane temporarily to navigate around a broken-down vehicle until it was cleared.
