@EmergMedDr @NjbBari3 Had to ring around chemists last week to find somewhere with stock of regular penicillin for my 4yo. There absolutely is a shortage.
THE NEXT WAVE is here and, with it, more troubling numbers β just ~2% of eligible Victorian adults are unvaccinated, however, they tragically account for 40% of deaths in the last 3 months. If you've been having doubts, now's the time to roll up your sleeve. #auspol
@Jess_Gagnon I started uni when I was pregnant with baby #4 and was supported to continue to breastfeed and take my baby to classes when safe (not labs), placement close to home and breastfeeding breaks for exams. Just graduated with a GPA of 6.7 and secured one of the best grad positions.
@LiangRhea@DerbyUni I took my baby to uni up until she crawled and was too distracting for me. I did an exam when she was 2 weeks old and was given special consideration to leave the room to breastfeed. Smashed that exam and have just graduated with GPA 6.7 because of the support I was given.
@RMO060727@TracyWesterman At a Victoran uni were were encouraged to use "Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander from now referred to as Indigenous" but when I had my grammer checked I had to capitalise non-indigenous which I felt was wrong.
@amberloyse@AugersMonster Cases in our dance school 5 days out from the concert but because iso rules lifted everyone showed up concert day. No masks. No fresh air. My girls have been sick all week despite mask wearing back stage. 4yo fevers for 4 days. PCR neg thankfully. More than just covid around.
All I want for Christmas is for young children & babies to be included in the covid vaccination program - like they have in the USA, Canada, Singapore, HK, & for every other person in Oz over 5yo - so their development can be protected from this monstrous multisystem pandemic.
@lisa_iannattone My 4yo is way ahead developmentally (perhaps because she hasn't had covid) and has consistently worn a mask since she was 2. It's her normal. A vaccine would be nice though.
@ajmckenna Eye roll was for how difficult it is with a toddler. And often there is no choice with major shops only having self serve option. I hate them. They are not purpose built for buying anymore than a few items. And only suitable if you have free hands.
@BruceTabor8@NjbBari3@Mon4Kooyong@AugersMonster Meanwhile my 4 year old hasn't even had one dose. Won't be attending kinder without it so looks like she will be staying home til she is 5 at this stage π
