@injustice_24 Idc if people wear bikinis at the beach, 9/10 it isn't to flaunt themselves but rather just have fun at the beach, but Epic actively selling these outfits is intended to have the characters be sexualized to create "gooner bait".
This disappoints me, like the summer event is looking great, but they are really leaning into sexual content and I don't support objectification. Also before anyone says "well it's rated T" news flash that was only because of the guns, they have fucking LEGO games for kids,-
@injustice_24 I said that swim suits aren't inherently sexual, but they can be easily sexualized it is the entire reason Epic is taking advantage of this and selling it, Epic even gave them physics ontop of their revealing outfits.
@DazerDMRZ@Dominic34723829 It has targeted itself to kids since it was in C1 and adding the LEGO modes only further proved it, the only reason it was labeled as a teen game is because of the guns they couldn't do anything about that
@E_god_420 And LEGO has recently changed all their rules to avoid making stuff like that anymore, it is why a LEGO Deadpool figure exists but a LEGO Deadpool figure doesn't exist in Fortnite, and the rule change is also why Deadpool wasn't even in the LEGO Marvel games despite being in 1.
@YuriLoverSkye@skyie_blue I watched it when it first came to Netflix, it was amazing having my younger brother watch the fever dream while wanting to play on the Xbox
@Dominic34723829 The argument that everyone who plays is older now, falls apart when you think about how Epic still has LEGO modes targeted to children, and this game adds so many collabs that appeal to kids but this game has sexual content and Buzz Lightyear is in it, kids will want him
@gmsfn1691@Dominic34723829 There is one issue with this, they have a fixed loading screen that any age group gets exposed to when booting up the game, a BP advertisement you see when you don't own the BP, and the BP you get exposed to the moment you open the passes tab. The age ratings on each mode-
@Dominic34723829 "Devil" isn't for kids, the game that has Bugs Bunny isn't for kids, the game with LEGO Ninjago isn't for kids, explain how this game should have sex appeal when it has targeted itself to kids for 8 years.
@Dominic34723829 "no, we want no affiliation with a game like that." So please explain to me how the game that has silly humanoid foods and animals isn't for kids, the game with a LEGO sandbox isn't for kids, the game with a LEGO City sim isn't for kids, the game that censored the word-
@Dominic34723829 The sole reason they are adding outfits like this is to sell sexual appeal, this game used to advertise itself for kids but now it is going so far off of that. When they first slipped up and added physics to Calamity Donald made public apologies, but look what they're doing now.
@YuriLoverSkye@EeveeHedgehog Idk, it makes sense it would notify you that I replied to someone under your tweet, but it is weird it didn't notify you of them sending a reply under your tweet
@EeveeHedgehog@YuriLoverSkye I don't mean to be rude, it would just be a bad idea to do myself on Twitter, especially whilst being open about being trans
@EeveeHedgehog@YuriLoverSkye I'm not stupid enough to dox myself on Twitter, especially as a trans person on Twitter of all places, the most I'll say is it is in Canada
