15 children and one adult were left stranded more than 25 feet in the air when a ride at Adventureland on Long Island malfunctioned. Some were trapped for nearly three hours. Firefighters brought them down one at a time. Every child made it out. No thanks to the equipment that failed them. This ride was brand new. Parents say it had already stalled earlier that same day. Those kids did nothing wrong. They buckled in and trusted the people running that park. A malfunction is not bad luck. It is a safety failure. Parents deserve to know what broke, why, and who left those children up there for three hours.
