Manchester United fans are demanding more from INEOS, and they have every right to.
So far, we’ve missed out on our two primary midfield targets and have signed just one player heading into pre-season. As a fan, I find that extremely underwhelming. I understand the financial complexities surrounding both deals, but there is a massive inflation on every player across the market as a whole, and we need to realise that if we truly want the “best in class,” it isn’t going to happen by shopping only cheap. (FYI, United obviously know this but this is just my opinion).
Following a promising end to the season, with Michael Carrick securing #MUFC Champions League football, there was finally some light at the end of a tunnel which has been filled with constant pain and suffering over the past decade. Fans want their club back at the top, where we belong, and this summer is viewed as the perfect opportunity to make that happen. Obviously with the movement so far, it's no surprise why fans are furious.
I won't sit here and tell you to 'stay calm' as people clearly don't want to hear that. I also won't say this window is over and we are finished because that's illogical. I'll always be straight up with you because I don't gain anything from lying. United held several internal meetings following the Fernandes deal and the belief in the club is that they remain relaxed and were prepared for this potential situation by doing their due diligence on multiple players prior to the window happening. This isn't to give you hope and you don't have to believe it, but that's genuienly the club's stance.
It's time now for INEOS to act upon their promises, if we really want to be competing with the top teams next season.
I'll also quickly address the elephant in the room.
I don’t owe anyone an apology. You can throw whatever abuse you want at me if it helps ease your frustration that we didn’t sign Fernandes, but I don't negotiate the transfers. Not once did I say the deal was done, my info was that United remained confident (which was true) and I said he personally wanted us - this is true no matter what the reports say, it may come out one day, but Mendes has played a blinder this whole saga.
I don’t claim to be the best United source out there nor do I say that you should believe my word for gospel. Some people simply don't like the fact that a faceless ITK has proven to be reliable, so they’ve been waiting for any opportunity to come after me. In just a year, I’ve built a reputation and established a name for myself whilst having the privilege to speak the best journalists, so it doesn't bother me if some people are chatting shit on me.
I will continue reporting the truth from what I know as I want my club back where we belong, and fans deserve the truth in a media full of lies - this has always been my sole intention since I started posting. The same people who have been chatting shit on my name for clicks were the same people who would be in my replies and dms asking for info, only a few weeks back. It showed me how there's so many two faced bitches on here.
This isn't about me though. It's about the club we love and support. These next few weeks and months of this summer window will decide how next season fares. We need to get a move on and we can't risk letting our rivals go ahead of us. We have a good squad foundation with a coach who YOU (INEOS) chose to back. Now it's up to you to back him. Don't let these fans down like the old regime did.
*Those* United *fans* criticising Spurs for signing Tonali and Fernandes, two players they would have been creaming themselves over had they signed for their club. I totally understand United’s position on both but deriding Spurs for their ambition is insane. And, no, it’s not Woodward era United. Tonali and Fernandes are not Schneiderlin and a past it, perennially crocked Schweinsteiger. I absolutely despise social media transfer wars. Catapult me back to the 90s.
And yes I’m in a bad mood
Fuck it
Bring Tonali and Fernandes and then just sell players and bring a fullback late on, forget about attackers just keep Zirkzee and use Dorgu as a LW. We have to fix the midfield first
🚨 Man Utd may have to shelve plans to add a third midfielder this summer if they also want a left-sided player and a second-choice goalkeeper.
Adding a third midfielder was largely dependent on an Ugarte sale, which looks unlikely after his injury last night. [@ChrisWheelerDM] #mufc
The worry isn’t him being open for spurs
It’s whether we will just accept he’s a player who’s in demand and won’t choose us over any club no matter what.
West Ham won the game, we need to either pay up or walk away.
Breaking: Tottenham are very close to reaching an agreement with Mateus Fernandes on contract terms. The player is open to signing for Spurs [@MatteMoretto]
@utdreport No
It’s ridiculous money. We’re not Arsenal or city who need bits and bops, we are still rebuilding.
Need quantity as well as quality, and anyways this is outrageous money.
Rather we get the numbers to start with so we are comfortable with European football

🚨🧨 EXCL | Enzo Fernandez is one of Manchester City’s desired transfer targets for the summer. Strongly wanted by Enzo Maresca. #MCFC
Initial talks behind the scenes have already taken place. The two Enzos share a top and very trusting relationship. @SkySportDE 🇦🇷
@MartienBall Yes it does
He’s an opportunity signing. Last year on his deal for €40m max. I think it’s a no brainer
And actually, it helps with the marquee signing. Coz that’s an investment you know you made, you know how much money you spent and have left to spend.
For me it makes sense
