@JohnBoy6969696@bigflyer@ThePatriotOasis I never said the human neck was the size of a swimming pool buddy.
All I said was the human body is mostly water. 60%+ water. So see how bullets react to water is more appropriate for a shooting test.
What % of the human body is STOP signs??
Well, most stop signs are actually made of aluminum. Something easily googleable. But also, no one uses aluminum, or even steel to stop most bullets. Any decent body armor is made of either woven material or ceramics, or both.
That aside, humans are MOSTLY water/liquid. And liquid is a BOSS at dissipating kinetic energy.
T.R. used a 100+ yr old gun from grandpa at over 100 yards and hit a very healthy human. A proper analog test would be to shoot a live boar or pig from the same distance.
Here is a great video of how great liquid is at stopping bullets.
The human body is mostly water.
Mythbusters PROVED that water is FAR better at dissipating energy than almost any substance. They stopped a 50BMG within 3 feet of water!!!
Now considering T.R. fired a 100+yr old rifle at over 100 yards from his position and also, likely, struck multiple bones....it's not impossible for there to be no exit wound at all.
But even the Mythbusters point out that even when you look at ballistic gel analogs, 4 inches of ballistics gel is the rough equivalent to human skin. So if a bullet travels 4 inches into ballistics gel, that means it barely gets by the skin (according to their calibrations). So take that into consideration too when you see ballistic gel tests too. People are made of liquid, flesh, tissue, muscle, bones, etc. not just ballistic gel-ish material.
The M1 Garand shown, also fires the .30-06.
At the heart of this debate is this; Can a human body stop a .30-06 round?
Evidence shows that it would be unlikely, but plausible. But to flat out deny the possibility is foolish.
@stephenjose77@bigflyer@ThePatriotOasis Yes....your bones are hard and dense BECAUSE of vitamins and minerals. Old people have very brittle bones and young people have much healthier bone. And your diet/exercise does indeed dictate the durability and density of your bones. That's actual science.
@DefiyantlyFree Ya know how the left always accuses people of the stuff they're guilty of?
I wonder if she isn't somehow actually being paid by Israel to sow doubt in TPUSA, especially after TPUSA turned way harder into America First territory and not into their camp?
