AJ Scaramucci reveals heโs starting a โplanetary treasure huntโ after spending $16.49M on the Pikachu Illustrator
โMy ambition for the card is just a small story. The real story is that Iโm on a planetary treasure hunt. Iโm planning to buy a T-Rex dinosaur fossil, the Declaration of Independence, and Iโm not stopping there. This is only the beginningโ

If you believe in a project, stick with it; donโt abandon it. Let me remind you that when Coca-Cola was founded, a well-known man invested and supported them, and to this day, it remains one of his biggest investments. He never gave up on it. Do the same. @Ronin_Network
Iโve been part of the Axie ecosystem since late 2021 when I first discovered it. I made my first $RON purchase on the day its sale was made public. Iโve held $RON in the various LPs offered and have staked all my $RON since day one of its launch. Through staking,
Iโve earned triple my initial investment, which was around $2,000 and now i have more than 30000 USD in $RON value. Iโve trusted this network and Sky Mavis from the beginning, and theyโre truly rewarding that trust with their work

This game is seriously testing my patience. Everyone who follows my stream knows that I have loved and actually enjoyed playing #AxieHomeland since the day the game came out more than a year ago. I have faithfully played every alpha season up to the current pre-beta version thanks to the Ronin Creator Program. This game has become a part of my daily routine, and I genuinely enjoy the resource management theme of it. I've been silently playing this new season through all the land drama, but it's time for me to speak up. I have tried to find the good aspects of the current update, but all I can say is that the current version is by far the absolute worst state the game has ever been, and here's why.
*Disclaimer: I will not discuss anything about tokenomics and/or rewards, or land prices. This post will talk about Axie Homeland from a purely gameplay perspective.
1.) I waste so much time trying to get into the game in the first place. Every time I close the game, or my PC comes in from a fresh boot up, it takes literal AGES for me to get into the game. I open up the game, and I constantly get this disconnection message. I need to restart the game 10-15 times (no kidding) until the point that the error message stops showing up. This ordeal of repeatedly opening and closing the game takes 45 minutes to a literal hour just to be able to play the game in the first place. My viewers on stream has seen this happen first hand. Imagine having to waste an hour of your time opening and closing a game repeatedly JUST to be able to play it in the first place. It's terrible
2.) The change adding different rarities to crafting materials does nothing but grief your gameplay for the sake of having better odds in crafting high quality equipment. In this current version, rarities for basic resources like wood and metal were implemented. This is not necessarily a bad change per se, but the way it was implemented was terrible. At it's current state, the added rarities to materials used for crafting does nothing but clutter up your inventory space. For example, when upgrading structures, you can only use common rarity wood to upgrade. This means that if you want to fill up your supply of wood by harvesting the resource nodes on the map, you'll come back to an inventory of wood filled with different rarities that you cannot use for structure upgrading. I find myself just simple discarding these higher rarity wood just so I can fill up my storage with wood that I can actually use for upgrading structures. The same goes with smelting ores. When smelting ores, you need to select a specific rarity of ore than you wish to smelt, and when your storage runs out of that specific rarity of ore, instead of moving on to different rarities, and smelting those, the furnace just stops smelting altogether. At the previous versions with no rarities, I could leave my furnaces running all night long when I go to bed and expect that I'll get an inventory full of ingots when I wake up. Now, I just wake up to some ingots in my inventory, and a lot of un-smelted ores because they were different rarity from the one selected. I could go on and on, and probably write a book about how this material rarity mechanic was so poorly implemented, but let's just leave that here.
3.) The adventurer system update does not align with the mechanics of how the game is played. In previous versions, you could send your adventurers with 6 pieces of equipment/consumables slots from the beginning, but you need to unlock the different kinds of equipment and consumables like jewelry and shells. In the current version, you have more inventory slots when maxed out, but you're gated from using different types of equipment and consumables by the level of your trading structures. This is bad because you can use up a lot of resources crafting helmets for your adventurers only to find out that you actually cannot send them out with helmets until you reach a certain structure level. What's the point of being able to craft them in the first place if you can't use it until very late into the game? On top of that, the equipment that you can sell to the adventurers is now very limited based on the adventurer type, and the type of equipment you can sell. Coming from the previous version where you can equip adventurers with any equipment, this is an annoying quality of life change.
I genuinely think this game has massive potential, and again, I have enjoyed playing every single alpha season up to its current state, but this is the point that I need to be critical about the state of the current game, because I genuinely believe that it took a step back from the previous version. The previous version was a lot more playable, much more smooth, and much more intuitive and fun to play. As a player who genuinely enjoyed playing Axie Homeland for more than a year now, I feel that if I don't speak up about these issues, then I'm just contributing to the complacency that is going on with this release.
