In an interview with ABC News, the Ukrainian president was asked why Donald Trump and Elon Musk were blaming him for the continuation of the war.

“Because these people can't find a way to stop Putin. Stopping Putin is much harder than putting pressure on others. It's much easier to talk about prices and link them to Ukraine,” Zelensky replied.

He emphasized that the rise in global fuel prices is primarily driven by the war in the Middle East and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

“Everyone in the world understands this. Don't play games with people,” the Ukrainian president said.

🇳🇱🇷🇺 NEW: The Netherlands is moving to give authorities powers to detain Russian shadow fleet vessels in the North Sea.

Under legislation submitted to parliament, ships sailing under false flags could be:

• Intercepted in Dutch waters and the country's EEZ
• Ordered into port for inspection
• Detained, with captains potentially facing arrest

The maximum prison sentence for falsely flying a Dutch flag would increase to four years.

The Dutch government explicitly warns that shadow fleet vessels could be used for espionage or sabotage against undersea cables and critical infrastructure.

The legislation has not yet been adopted.
