@eliMCXI@Master_Debunker@CCanuck4 The Qur'an does not stake its authority on historical probability in the way your bible does; rather, it asserts a metaphysical certainty that transcends empirical verification which can be demonstrated by other methods.
@eliMCXI@Master_Debunker@CCanuck4 Qur'an is not a detailed historical biography of each single prophet including our prophet ๏ทบ, it's a book for guidance.
But we do have extra Qur'anic information found in the hadith his story is detailed in Ibn kathir book "stories of the prophets" and many others.
@eliMCXI@Master_Debunker@CCanuck4 Logically it is better to accept their interpretations over christian interpretation on their own books since they actually understand the language, its idioms, metaphorical poetic styles and its historical context.
@eliMCXI@Master_Debunker@CCanuck4 Then I can simply dismiss and reject your Christian interpretation of their books(which you hijacked), in the same exact manner that you do with the Jews ๐,
@eliMCXI@Master_Debunker@CCanuck4 Yes the OT is only focused on the Israelites and their history, we don't find anything that rejects that he was chosen as a prophet or messenger later on for other people where he went which Islam affirms.
@eliMCXI@Master_Debunker@CCanuck4 The Disciples' Confusion: In Matthew 17:10, after seeing Jesus' glory, the disciples asked Him, "Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?"
We can see that they believed and still do that Elijah is alive in heaven without him being a divine being.
@eliMCXI@Master_Debunker@CCanuck4 is highly visible throughout the Gospels. When John the Baptist and Jesus began their ministries, people immediately wondered if the Malachi prophecy was being fulfilled:
Questioning John: Priests and Levites explicitly asked John the Baptist, "Are you Elijah?" (John 1:21).
