@tradefulltime@TraderDivergent But when that trade comes along, you have to execute it perfectly. The pressure to do that makes it easy to butcher it. Therefore, I lean towards: if there is positive expectancy = Trade it
Great video for trading, you really should ask yourself before each trade. Does this trade have positive expectancy? If = yes then take the trade.
Sometimes this expectancy comes after a certain time of day etc

A loss is the price you pay for being wrong.
But a loss can also be a marker of growth if you let it teach you.
What you do with the experience is ultimately up to you.
Oftentimes, some traders will see something moving, disregard their strategy and plan, and FOMO in.
All because they're trying to get rich quick.
Then, they get so damaged emotionally by the experience that they can’t bring themselves to get back in for the low-hanging fruit.
First-year at 7P, second-year trading. My main goal was to find some edge, took a couple months but once I found something that works for me I could quickly get going.
Once you have risk management down all you need to do is find something that works for you.
Been on the struggle bus this month during market slow down.
When this happens I always try to change things up (trying old setups, changing time frames). Which often never works.
A lot can be said for doing less.
Improve Your Trading Performance in 6 Steps
1. Develop a profitable trading strategy
2. Forget monetary goals; set process goals
3. Make risk control a priority
4. Tune out the noise; focus on your approach
5. Hold a trading journal
6. Take your signals; think 1000s of trades
Your consistency suffers when you pay too much attention to what others are doing and how much they're making.
As a trader, you really have to learn to live in your own little world away from the noise―unless you have a great level of focus and discipline.
May 2020 last year. Always good to put things in perspective and realise progress is being made. Sometimes I get frustrated on a given day just remember big picture where you are at.
@adwalsh1988 I would use interactive brokers for OTC cheaper comms there. The offices have been shut for a while because of covid, but I assume being in the office able to talk in person is easier to learn new things etc
