@HarrisFanaroff It’s just a stage & they’re not really meant to “sit at the dinner table” with adults yet. However, you could try practicing this at home and when you’re out, try sitting him on your or partner’s lap because they’re seeking connection. It’s not very comfy for you but it works
@HerbsandDirt Co- sleeping & bed sharing is the best thing you could do for babies. You’re their safe space & all they know is you! ST culture is on the rise and it comes along societal disconnection from each other & the push to be “independent” at few days old. A mindblowing horrible concept
@HerbsandDirt ST causes so many psychosocial issues on the long term and affects the relationship between carers and babies. If they know you’re not going to them when they actually needed you the most, don’t be surprised they won’t come to you when they need another kind of help as grown ups
@HerbsandDirt It’s absolutely heartbreaking how the sleep training industry is on the rise. Sleep training does not teach babies to sleep, it teaches them to stop calling for you because they gave up & know you’re not coming litterally to rescue them. Sometimes all they need is comfort & hugs
@FitFounder 100%. Processed foods are terrible but also tantrums are healthy. Also worth noting bad breathing as a result of oral ties or blocked airways leads to poor sleep which in turn causes kids to be hyperactive during the day. Unfortunately many get misdiagnosed with ADHD as a result
@leewhowrites My little one told me I don’t like pasta anymore. I asked “since when?” Then answer was Saturday.
They obviously proceeded to eat the pasta later on.
@cmacwritescrime So many good books read this year. But Shot in the Dark by Anna Britton @BrittonBookGeek was really at the top of the list. I alternate between light read and crime/thriller as I can’t handle too much tension like before 😵💫
