Quake Idiot/Aspiring Artist
M-SFW (+17) but I don't interact with minors.
We live on, forevermore.
Honestly, if I become a full time freelance artist just like my girlfriend, I have a strange belief it would be game over for the rest of the world -- figuratively.
Because I can literally work anywhere. She's already living like a queen in Serbia, so imagine if I get on the same boat as her. As long as we both take good care of each other, keep records of commissions and finish them in a timely manner, we'd be fine.
Was so hardcore into Quake as a kid, my parents tried to take it away from me, but then the internet literally handed it to back to me.
Quake is Forever.
Yes, yes, I know I am a Quake asshole. It's legit so hard not to be since I've played a learned everything about since I was kid. I learned everything before I even took a look at what was under the hood in it's source code.
Dawn of The Machine put me in a weird mental dimension, was kind of cool though with the timelooping and, future and present shit. Also, the fact the final level has my character's name on it. I feel special without needing to be relevant.
I remember a time where I couldn't bunnyhop for shit -- didn't do any pre-strafe/circle jump before starting a bunnyhop sequence.
Lot of people still do that, not sure why.
It's literally the first step to bunnyhopping, otherwise you might as well walk everywhere.
Dawn of the Machine is really awesome. These levels are gorgeous. MachineGames have really stepped their game up since their first Quake episode.
So damn cool that Quake and classic Doom are still getting official expansions all these years later.
I mainly walk anyway, because I enjoy pacing and being extremely conscious of ammo management. I may have ADHD, but not that kind makes me look like I'm on crack all the time.
There's times I feel like everyone is living in their own version of a BoJack episode, including me.
Except, I just watch from afar. Some episodes are dumb, some are beautiful. Some are just down right relatable. And some just appear to be straight from my life.
Only two people in the world know where exactly that's gonna take me, that's why I won't say it.
That time when all 3 of us were in the same Discord at one point. Why did that have to change? That's unforgivable.
@FordTheHyena Point is, know right from wrong, keep the ego in check.
I do watch around ya know. I learn from watching, even from afar. Sometimes the internet is a good teacher, and other times, not really.
I would likely not be capable of drawing Sleeper any better than this, now that I have drawing tablet.
But even with the power of the art-gods, it's still as difficult. Let alone, getting use to the new learning curve. It literally a curve of it's own, pun not intended.
@FordTheHyena Say me and Ford do get rich from art, I know there will always be a spy glass always above our heads all the time for every microscopic fuck up. I know the drill, and so does she. I also know there's a chance of someone wanting to be a wise guy. Yeah, I'm Brooklyn, so what. Lol
